  1. Another vote for Malouda. He was brilliant with the ball the entire game.
  2. Ancelotti's comments that ManU playing in the Champion's league would be their undoing has turned into an incredible premonition. The last 2 minutes of today's match was absolutely demoralizing. If the blue and white army shows up and plays to form, I'm thinking a sweet 3-0 victory.
  3. just long enough to keep him off the pitch until after this Saturday...no?!?
  4. Man, I'm getting excited for this game. Of course I'm very pessimistic, but that's just how I get before any big game.
  5. I only just found that website when I was searching for information on a USA tour in 2010. I had no idea there were that many fans here in the US. Next season I will definitely be a member of Chelsea in America - Midwest Blues.
  6. I definitely believe that when Drogba is off the field, the other players do step up and contribute more knowing that their star player isn't there to bail them out. It's up to Ancelotti. He needs to get the team to play at that level when Drogba is out there while also convincing Drogba to buy into a more team-oriented offensive approach.
  7. Will wear my Chelsea shirt with pride today!
  8. Malouda scores as Lampard passes on a 4th. Ho hum...I'm bored
  9. that was a great ball in...then Malouda finishes. Fucking fantastic!
  10. Frankie beats 2002's Human Wall. Sorry Mr. Friedel!
  11. ESPN Classic. The main channel (or ESPN2) usually shows a PL match on Saturday mornings, but we were relegated to classic for some reason. No matter, I get them all.
  12. Good morning people. Watching live. Too bad Drogba's knee was bad enough to make him sit, hopefully just as a precaution.
  13. oh no...a white sox fan, huh? just kidding, I love hating the ChiSox. Beckham is a promising young talent. I did watch Buerhle's perfect game, and won't ever forget that catch. Thanks for the note. Do you know when they'll release any American match dates?
  14. Yes and yes. Baseball is my favorite sport. And my home team the Twins will do wonders this summer. That's awesome you know of our nickname. We open a new stadium downtown Minneapolis and just signed our hometown hero Joe Mauer to an 8 year/$184 Million contract. For our "small-market" club that was a monumental day. Happy to be here!
  15. Just watched a replay of this game, and that goal by Malouda was spectacular! Hope to see more of that.
  16. Thanks everyone! will do. I've been lurking here for awhile and would love to see highlights of these past matches you all talk about.
  17. this is a good post. It's completely fair to put the weight of expectations onto a team when so much is invested in them. They are getting paid top dollar to win. Nothing less. At the same time, that doesn't mean were going to turn our back on Chelsea should they falter.
  18. As a new fan, I have only ever seen Chelsea as a powerhouse, so I unfortunately would feel great disappointment if we come out of this season empty handed. Maybe we aren't able to get the PL with our schedule, but the FA cup waiting there for us. Keep the faith!
  19. Hey everyone. My name is Chad. I live in Minneapolis, MN, USA. Still an infant when it comes to Chelsea fandom. I've always enjoyed the World Cup and after 2006 I made a decision to start following real football. I don't even remember why I settled on Chelsea, but there's no going back now. My dream is to one day make it over to London and see a match at Stamford Bridge. Hopefully you'll take in a newbie fan like me. ManU >> PL >> FA Cup! Cheers! Chad
