Anelka has been great for Chelsea, who cares about the world cup. He has been consistent unlike Rooney who had one great season. Essien has been better or equal to any other midfielder on that list. Maybe not Iniesta or Xavi. Bear in mind he missed the world cup and was injured for Chelsea.

I think overall we have a great squad. We don't need any players really. It would be good though for reinforcements obviously but what's the point in splashing the cash for a good player when the majority of the time he will be on the bench....If he's lucky! Lol. But I have faith in your youth system. I think in 2 years time will be the time to bring players in.
