The problem is not Hazards position but the way the team plays tactically. Barca plays most of the time on the oppositions half and when they lose the ball they try to regain the ball as soon as possible by pressing on the oppositions half. Chelsea run back when losing posession. That's a choice off course but a choice that does not go in favour of our attacking players like Hazard or Willian because they get into posession too far from goal.

What did Costa do? I would say we won despite having a very poor striker. If he would have missed that chance it would have been shameful.

You really don't get it do you!When a team losses the ball they have 2 options. 1. Pressing forward to regain ball posession as soon as possible. This is what teams like Bayern, Barca,... do. This way you regain posession further up the pitch. Closer to the opponents goal. This way, their attacking players can use their individual skill close to the opponents goal. 2. Running back and waiting for the opponent to make a mistake. That is Jose's tactic. Problem for highly skilled players like Willian or Hazard is that they get the ball om their OWN half or around the middle of the pitch. Far away from the opponents goal. So it is nearly impossible to BE dangerous in front of goal. Willian was great against Liverpool. But how many times was he able to try to dribble someone naar the opponents penalty area? And that is the problem players like Hazard or Willian have in this kind of tactic. Now we are talking about Hazard missing that 1 chance. That is not the problem. The problem is he usually only gets 1 or 2 chances in a game. Players like Robben from top teams like Bayern or Barca get more than 1 or 2 chances a game so it's no big deal if they miss one. And beleive me, they also miss chances. So the problem with Mourinho is not wether or not he gives someone a free role, but his complete tactics. You can never play dominant with his tactics.

In that periode, they had trouble creating chances but they ware solid as a team and had a great goalkeeper who had exceptional saves Every game. But they controller the games. In those situation a player like Hazard can win games for you. This season we are far from solid. almost all games we get behind because our defense sucks and we don't have an exceptional goalkeeper who makes up for their mistakes. I really don't get this. He is one of the most annoying players om the pitch.Don't you see that he is doing more bad than good! Technically he is very poor! He screwed up more than one attack because he didn't see his teammates and lost the bal a stupid way. He has A passing average of 87% even through he is completely of form and you say he needs to practice his passing ?!?Is it so difficult to just accept he is off form? Just be patient and he will be back in track soon! Also people saying he needs to be more hungry and that he is too sure of his place in the team don't know what they are talking about! Is it so difficult to see that he missed the penalty the way he did was because he is playing completely without confidence at the moment and because he is traint too hard to prove himself. And because his self confidence normally is one of his biggest strengts this is a problem that affects his whole game. So just give him time and support him! Every top player has a setback like this at least once in his carreer. Remember for example Robben in the European Championship of 2012 where he couldn't dribbel past anyone. At least we are lucky this happens with Hazard in the beginning of the season and not when it counts the most.

We play exactly as bad as at the end of last season. The only difference is that now we don't have the luck we had last season and Hazard is not as exceptional as he was then.A great coach should have looked through the luck and the individual brilliance and he should have done something about the problems that were already there. Because he neglected to do that he should be sacked! So that is not A small mistake. That is A big mistake and for that he should be sacked! I never understood why they extended his contract!
