  1. This will leave us with: Player list A Filip Jorgensen Robert Sanchez Tosin Adarabioyo Benoit Badiashile Trevoh Chalobah Marc Cucurella Malo Gusto Reece James Moises Caicedo Enzo Fernandez Nicolas Jackson Christopher Nkunku Cole Palmer Pedro Neto
  2. Penders came off injured last night in the 41st minute. Hope it’s not serious, but something like that can change our long term plans. Speedy recovery Mike!
  3. Everything with Fofana is ok. False alarm 😅
  4. After watching the debut of Gittens he surely believes there is a starting spot for him here. Garnacho that is.
  5. Team performance - solid but slow and too passive. Individual: Sanchez - Not great at distribution, but not bad eighter. Good in the air. Was completely surprised by Eze and saved by VAR. James - Solid at the back. Some unnecessary fouls, but good distribution over the lines. Chalobah - solid, too passive on the ball. Josh - Considering age and experience great, but was shaky on the ball and even though he was dealing with Mateta, he almost never got the first ball against him. Cucu - Active and everywhere. Playing with a lot of new players showed at times. Caicedo - a beast as usual Enzo - very slow and disappointing. Hope he gets into rhythm fast. Palmer - was pocketed by their midfield. Kudos to Wharton especially. He went wider in the last 15 minutes and was a lot better. Too little too late. Gittens - Out of sync. Too early to judge him harshly. Neto - Energetic and active. Not enough real danger. Pedro - Was lost around their 3 CBs. Couldn't influence the game. Estevao and Santos - good moments. Quite raw. Gusto - played too centrally and too little to be effective Delap - Positive signs. Gives us another option and can be quite useful in these type of games. Final thoughts - Weren't ready for a game against such a solid team, but with a bit of luck could have gotten the 3 points. They are probably loosing players so our rivals can find them easier to play/win against.
  6. As expected we are struggling to move on a bunch of players. Apparently that also blocks us from signing a couple of players, but the most worrying part is the lack of understanding between the manger and the club. We are starting the season on a massive positive wave and we all know how things can get very bad very fast. Hope we manage to get through August with positive results both on the pitch and on the transfer market. COYB!
  7. Not ready yet… Still decent showing against a strong side. Short preseason and not being able to train enough shows. A lot of new players overall. We must get the 3 points against West Ham…
  8. Does someone know why Enzo Fernandez didn’t get a minute yesterday? Hope he is healthy 😳
  9. Worst day since losing to Newcastle. It was all going too well... Speedy recovery Levi!
  10. I think we have a great mixture on the right with Neto, Estevao and Palmer. An experienced option, a super talent and a 10 sliding right. Would love to have the same on the left with Gittens, Simons and a more experienced option. Grealish on a short term deal would be great, but guess that will never happen. Garnacho seems to be in the bag. Missing a bit of seniority on that side, but I hope most of the boys deliver throughout the season!
  11. I don’t get the inflated fees from Saudi for surplus players. I understand why they have to offer high salaries, but why give Liverpool say 70 mil for Nunez. Nobody else will give them 50. Even if they have all the money in the world, what is the point of wasting them this way?
  12. Deals are moving well. Still a month to go. Squad doesn’t need much and Simons looks like a sure thing. I hope we have enough time to prepare and beat Palace on the opening day and go on from there!
  13. We can’t catch them all. Football is no Pokemon 😂😂
  14. No matter how good of a season any of them has. At best they can fight for a rotation spot. The starting spot can be win by Fofana(manages to stay fit), Chalobah(given the chance and being consistent) and a new star CB next summer. I think we will sign only one more defender(Hato hopefully) and one more attacker(one of the many we have been linked with) this season.
  15. Against the big teams you don’t just need quality, which we definitely have, you also need confidence and belief. You can’t have that when you barely know your teammates. This win against Psg will help a lot. I think we will have both good and bad periods throughout the season, but really hope to get more points of city, arsenal and liverpool, as well as them 3 points at Old Trafford. KTBFFH!
  16. I think Jackson will actually fit very well at Newcastle. Don't believe a deal is possible due to his preferences and the transfer fee.
  17. So excluding young players - loans or sales, we have to get rid of: - Disasi, Veiga, Chilwell, Sterling, Felix, Broja, Chukwuemeka(probably count as a young loan). Possible/optional departures: - Chalobah(Hope not), KDH, Nkunku, Jackson We must buy: - Cucu cover and another left sided attacker if George doesn't stay to cover LW. The squad doesn't look too bad. With Pedro and Delap I am ok with keeping eighter of Jackson or Guiu. With 8 games in the CL there will be plenty of opportunity for everyone who deserves it. We don't need luxury players a.k.a. Felix. If we can get Hato and one of Rogers/Fofana/Garnacho we will be ready to go. I know Garnacho gets a lot of hate, but depending on the transfer fee and wages he could be a smart signing. Don't forget he will have Enzo as his Argentinian big bro in London. Champion of the World!! GET IN!!!
  18. He is quite young so plenty of time to learn. If he gets yellows and not on the scoresheet, it will be a really difficult season for him. But it will be hard for CBs to impose themselves on him and that alone is something we didn't have since Giroud or even Costa, depending on if you take pace into account.
  19. I know they don’t have much in common as players, but Kudus can be our new Willian. Leave spurs pay for the medical and snap him up! LOL
  20. Restart expected in 10 min according to some sources.
  21. The rules are very clear when there is a threat of a thunderstorm at the stadiums being used at this tournament. Lightning within 10 miles (16.1km) of the stadium, the match is automatically suspended. The match director is told about it and then tells the referee to stop the game and take the players off the pitch and back to the changing rooms.
  22. This tournament is fucking joke! Very happy with the performance today. Hope this restart doesn’t play a joke on us…
  23. Does that mean Starsbourg get Europa league? If not overturned of course?
  24. I am kind of on board with buying young players and moulding them into superstars, but I have two massive problems with Chelsea atm. First I can’t make myself like Maresca as his tactics are overly complicated way too often and he uses some players obviously wrong. Second and even more disappointing is that we are way too opportunistic in the market. I hope I am just too stupid and can’t comprehend the ingenious strategy of the board, but it looks scattergun.
