  1. You're correct. I just looked at the latest update of the table. Makes me so angry and sad at the same time.
  2. Steadily "stablizing" in 15th place. I'll sort of understand the stability argument. (i) If Mourinho had ever shown anything resembling in his 15 year career and if he didn't behave like a complete fucktard and bring his host club to disrepute when things don't go his way. (ii) If we weren't 15th (!!) with a 1/3 of the season gone. If we were like say 6th, 7th or even 8th, few would be calling for him to be sacked. Bad season, okay. Scrap it up and start again next season. But 15th is historic in the Abramovich era and very very poor in ANY CFC era really. We're so bad, it defies all logic.
  3. His problem is that he can't coached organised defense. The reverse of Mourinho, basically.
  4. Ha! I remember when I predicted at the start we'll struggle to come 3rd this season and I was mocked. Little did I know we'll be battling relegation with 1/3rd of the season gone!
  5. After his antics this season, and his (seeming) inability to maintain success after a period of 2-3 seasons, why will United want him? Reading United forums, most are vehemently against the idea. And Mourinho isn't really liked by some of the top brass at Old Trafford.
  6. At least those teams actually played good football.
  7. Sorry mate, just curious. Why do you "hope not"? Excluding appeal to emotion and the fantasy of "stability" under Mourinho, can you offer any logical reasoning?
  8. We're the new Arsenal. We now win take refuge in the "deserved" trophy.
  9. Roman's indecision has been extremely disappointing. Mourinho has an expiry date of 2-3 years maximum. Accept it and move on.
  10. This is what you get from a manager who can't teach his players organised attacks! When he can't ride off one superstar player (Insert: Drogba, Ronaldo, Hazard) it all turns to shit!
  11. Fast becoming pitiful. Is Roman buying into emotion now? If he's listening to the fans in the crowd, this club would have turned to shit a long time ago. He didn't make it in the business world through indecision and lack of ruthlessness. For only the 2nd time as a CFC fan, 1st being the Wilkins fiasco, I have to say I'm disappointed in Roman.
  12. How anyone can continue to support this man is beyond me!
  13. Lost for words. What is happening at this club is completely insane.
  14. Normally, Hazard and Pedro should be enough firepower to turn the tables vs a woeful side. Problem is, we're not really better than sides like Kiev these days.
  15. If there are really problems in the dressing room and players are revolting, then Mourinho needs to fulfill his promise and step down as manager.
  16. The fact that Mourinho has reached so many semi-finals and has failed to take the next step into the finals is actually an indictment on his cautious approach as a manager. I can't remember if it was Styles or TheChels who pointed this out to me, but it has some merit. Anyone who has studied the semi-final ties: Madrid vs Barcelona 2011 Madrid vs Bayern 2012 Chelsea vs Atletico Madrid 2014 and to a lesser extent : Madrid vs Dortmund 2013 knows what Mourinho's approach to these games were. If he was actually more ambitious and more knowledgeable in the attacking organisation aspect of the game, he would have won another European Cup by now. The fact that he's also struggled the most with Madrid and this current Chelsea, two teams built to be attacking teams, is also interesting.
  17. No one is talking about the last 6 seasons. I was talking about from 2011-2015. That's 4 years not 2. His team was crushed 4-1 by Klopp's Dortmund and we were outclassed by Simeone's Atletico Madrid after Mourinho parked the bus in Madrid. Same thing last year. We parked the bus in Paris and we got humiliated by a side with 10 men, without their star player. Mourinho's supporters have to go back to 2010 to find the last time he's done anything remotely relevant in Champions league.
  18. Instant success. I don't even know what that means anymore. Two league titles and a couple of small cups in his last two clubs. A lot of underwhelming campaigns in Europe in-between. That instant success is no more better or worse than what a Guardiola, Ancelotti, Conte and Simeone have achieved at their respective clubs in recent years. I don't see how he's the "best around". For me, it's only a desperate big club that I see going after him from this point on. I absolutely don't see him back here for a 3rd time. That will be tragic.
  19. If he's jumping ship, it will because he's trying to move to a bigger club in Madrid with more attacking freedoms, playing next to better players, and in a less physical league, not because he doesn't believe we can't bounce back (In the event we don't make the CL)
  20. I haven't given up, not at all. I have long since given up on Mourinho, admittedly, I never supported his return, but I will never give up on Chelsea. I'm very optimistic about the additions of Pedro and Kenedy for instance. There is cause for optimism. Contrary to what writers like Martin Samuel will have us believe, this is a very, very good squad. Easily one of the top 2 strongest sides in the country, if not the strongest. What we need is just a central midfielder and another right back as back up for Azpilicueta if Ivanovic is sold. That way we have Rahman & Ake as LB options and Azpi and another RB as RB options. We also need a new CB. JT's days. at the very highest echelon of centre-backs might be numbered. Zouma & Cahill are not enough. I'm also not that enthused about the idea of Ivanovic returning to his original position at centre-back to add as back-up. He's been an amazing servant, but he is past his prime. Our board also needs to be more sensible and realistic. Witsel, Schneiderlin and Alderweireld were available last summer, but we spent all our time chasing Pogba and Stones. That was really, really stupid.
  21. I never typed that. What I was trying to communicate was Mourinho isn't going to leave Chelsea and expect to see big clubs lining up for his signature. He's going to have to humble himself and settle for something smaller, at least initially. He will come out of this mess looking worse than ever and quite frankly, pretty overrated.
  22. If we don't make top 4 this season, I don't see Hazard staying, regardless of who the manager is. We had the chance to build something special but our board and manager has let us down.
  23. Recent reports are that PSG are not interested, even in the event Blanc makes no progress in Europe. I don't ever see him ever managing United. You might be right in terms of world class players, but I'm not so sure we are so attractive to the likes of Griezmann or Reus without CL football, in the increasingly likely event Hazard leaves. We might have to settle for lesser players like Alex Teixeira.
  24. United, City, Arsenal, Bayern, Barcelona, Madrid and PSG. In the event that Mourinho is indeed sacked, I absolutely don't see him being wanted by any of these clubs for various and different reasons. Anywhere he goes from Chelsea will be a step down. Monaco and Inter being the most likely options.
