  1. All I can say is thank god we're not really in the title hunt still. Cos is properly be doing my but watching this if we were...
  2. This has been much better. Unlucky so far. Only a matter of time.
  3. Agree with everything except the Costa bit. Even Torres would've been better than Ba today. Those balls to his feet have been perfect, his passing and link up play has been woeful. Costa would at least play another player in and we'd have had at least a few more chances.
  4. Watching Chelsea to try and cheer yourself up might be among the worst ideas you've ever had mate...
  5. Apart from Schurrle and maybe Cole, those players need a serious kick up the arse. This is piss poor in creativity and Ba looks like he's never met the players in blue around him ever before.
  6. To solve the issue with people sending stupid or awkward questions, you could open a thread a week before the interview is to take place and have people post the questions they'd like asked in there. Then the interviewer (whoever) can select what they think are the best questions from that thread, along with their own questions, and ask the interviewee all the questions at once? Whether the interview is by text on the forums or by video link doesn't matter then.
  7. --------------Big Mark-------------- Ivanovic---Kalas---Cahill---Cole -----------Matic---MVG------------ Salah-------Willian-------Schurrle ---------------Torres--------------- Giving some young lads a chance as well as resting the half injured JT, Oscar and Eto'o but still a strong enough team that should win the match. That's about what i'd do.
  8. Take the positives lads, look at Man Utd in the 'against the top 7' part and have a good chuckle.
  9. I personally hate the way we play when we play 4-3-3. Maybe that's the players as opposed to the system, but i'm fairly cautious about it. I'm quite happy with the 4-2-3-1 if we get a decent striker and DLP, which could morph to 4-2-2-2 when needed.
  10. For me it would have to be: 5) Hazard vs Newcastle 4) Ivanovic 3) Schurrle 2) Baker 1) Torres So Torres got my vote on the poll and on the Chelsea site.
  11. The media are even getting to the Chelsea fans now.... Propaganda works
  12. Sounds like a brilliant idea to me.
  13. I made wholesale changes but you didn't? So you signed the same number of players that I suggested signing (3) but just kept hold of ageing players on a high wage rather than playing youth (Ivanovic over Wallace, Luiz over Zouma, and Lampard over Piazon). Hardly that different.
  14. If he's only going to be £32M then he is by far the best option for us, hands down.
  15. Like I said before, I'm an optimist . Well Shaw, Vidal/Gundogan and Costa would probably cost us £100-£110M so we only need to make £80-£90M in sales which I think would be quite possible.
  16. You're probably right with Chalobah. Chalobah could stay and go out on loan then to a PL club if he's happy to do that. Kakuta for £10M is also a bit unrealistic actually in hindsight, but I reckon £10M for Marin would be more than possible to a high-middle Spanish or German club. Thing is people have heard of those 2 but they wouldn't have heard of Davila and Delac so those 2 probably wouldn't get bought and I just don't see a future for Marin or Kakuta at the club. As for Piazon, I just like him and his style of play, think he's been very good at Vitesse from when i've watched them this season. I know that isn't a guarantee he'd do well here but i'd like to give him a chance. As for Lampard *braces self*, I love the man, I really do, but I don't think it's fair to him to not play him when he'd still be good enough to play in Italy or USA cos he'd be behind Matic, Gundogan, Mikel and MVG in the pecking order. Also, his wages would be far too high to do that even if he wanted to. I'd much rather see him as a coach or something, but unless he took a huge cut in wages (again, not fair to expect him to do that when he could get more elsewhere) I don't think he'd be a viable squad player.
  17. Well if we change Cavani for Costa that's a £28M saving which would mean half of those players could not be sold at all and we'd still be meeting FFP.
  18. Courtois will probably be in, it was Costa I was dubious about.
  19. FIFA career mode i'd have Reus, Aguero, Pirlo and Kompany kicking about ;P. None of my transfers were THAT unrealistic, and you could always substitute RR in for Shaw, Vidal/Kroos/Rakitic in for Gundogan and Costa/Benzema for Cavani.
  20. Some excellent points well made. I wouldn't be disappointed at all if you were right . Only problem I can see is the lack of English players, we need to reach the quota for Champions League. That's why I really want Shaw over Rodriguez.
  21. Well it really is looking like a done deal isn't it? If he comes to Chelsea I think he deserves all of our support and a clean slate. I hope he can do the business for us, and I have every confidence that he will
  22. Sorry, you're probably right, I had a rush of blood. He's probably on around 125k p/w. And Shaw will go to the club which offer Southampton the most transfer fee, he won't get a choice between clubs unless we offer the same transfer fee as another club. But even if Shaw is 75k p/w, that's still 50k p/w less, which is just over 2.5million over the year. Shaw is worth £30million right now, he just is. There isn't a better young LB that I can think of other than Rodriguez, who wouldn't be much cheaper and isn't proven in the PL like Shaw is. We could hold onto Cole as the 2nd choice for another year if you want and sell Bertrand, but then next year we'd have the same issue of Cole being a year older and we'd need a new backup LB.
  23. We need City AND Liverpool to lose for us to be champions. Not very likely
  24. Courtios might be but Costa won't be. He deserves to be but he doesn't play for Real or Barca, and that's usually a prerequisite for getting into the FIFA TOTY.
  25. I think people have gone off him more over the apparent £50million price tag than anything else. He's a quality finisher, I just hope he doesn't lose his patience if he comes here or we'll have a Balotelli on our hands.
