Also since you said Mata is not someone worthy to build a side around, but then what have Oscar and Hazard done to show that they are more worthy to do so?
-
That's complete rubbish. The system isn't built around Lampard in the slightest - if anything it's built around Oscar and Hazard. Right now we have a two or three man midfield system and only four regular midfielders. Of those four, only one has what you would call proper forward passing ability which is why he's played more than he probably should have. The problem with Mikel and Rami is that they aren't that great at moving the ball forward to unsettle defences and you need that to create space for the attackers. Nonsense about Mourinho refusing to buy better players really adds nothing to the debate. More like you are in denial than I am telling nonsense. How else you could explain Mourinho change from 4231 to 433 when Oscar and Hazard are already playing well regardless and the only midfielder clearly struggling in 4231 is Lampard. He chooses Oscar instead of Mata at 10 only because Oscar is more likely to cover the ground Lampard is supposed to cover originally but fails to do so. How else you could explain Mourinho spent another 50 millions on more attacking midfielders when there are already plenty in the squad but fail to buy a single defensive midfielder? You really think 50 millions couldn't get you a world class midfielder who could take Lampard's place if the club really want it enough? The defense is still built around Terry and the midfield is still built around Lampard like it's 2004. Any people with eyes can see that.

no one wants to build a system around lamps Mourinho does. He changes his personnel, other players' roles and even formation in order to accommodate Lampard in the side and hide his deficiencies. He picks him regardless of form. He even refuses to buy better players to challenge Lampard's position in order to further guarantee him a place. Next thing you know Lampard will get a new contract for next season because he's such an important regular starter this season.
-
He is not. He is classy but not good enough for a club like Chelsea to build a system around him. Yet a 35 year old Lampard is good enough for Chelsea to build the system around lol...
-
Please at least get some facts straight and not make up false info in order to make a (weak) argument against a player. We had more points in both CL and Premiership at the same time last year than this year. Last year we had Juve in our CL group this year we have Basel. Before the Rafa hire, we were 4 points off the table leader in the league last year, just like now. If that's called slipped out of title race, we must be slipping out now too.
-
Well Oscar seems to be doing a pretty good job this season, leading us to second place in the league. I seem to remember that at the same time last year Mata was leading us to first place in the league...
-
It's better for Mata himself if he does leave Chelsea, let's be honest. You can't blame a player because he needs to think of his own career.
-
Now that's bad journalism... He got the thumbs down because people voted for Iniesta over him? What an absolute non-story. The results were as follows: Iniesta 58% Mata 30% Sergio Ramos 6% Casillas 6% The fact that he got 30% of votes over the other 3 world class players looks more like a thumb up for me lol.
-
When will those "Mata to Club X" rumours ever die down, seriously?! And right now it's just October.
-
Not talking about Josh. He's shown nothing as a professional as of yet and I don't think he'd have the mental strength to succeed being thrown in at the deep end. The same question could be asked about Lukaku re mental strength. Very different to perform at a pressure free club than a club expected to win every match, you know.
-
We don't ask him.... We pay him. It's his job. I genuinely believe he has the quality and attitude to survive and thrive. Pretty delusional to think that McEachran would have won us the CL and FA Cup as well in place of Frank Lampard or Juan Mata, no?!
-
It's because the Belgian media created an image of KDB as the new messiah of the NT. The majority of Belgian posters that joined in 2013 are KDB fans, not Chelsea fans. They probably haven't even seen his games for Chelsea. I don't think you'll see such a fuss over Hazard if he gets benched. He's not Flemish afterall. Could you tell me why Belgian media and fans seem to care more about KDB than Hazard? Even put last year's performances aside, Hazard's price tag should indicate him being more highly rated and should inspire higher expectations than KDB, if anything, no?
-
To be fair, our great Chelsea manager Jose has also deemed Oscar to be a better player than Mata. Sometimes a team or manager thinks or does doesn't always tell the whole story. So your example of Madrid preferring Isco to Ozil can't really prove anything of Ozil's capability as a player.
-
You really think someone of his talent can continue not to perform?
-
Doesn't always have to win it this season. He can always go to another PL team and win it. Honestly United would be quite a good fit for Mata. An attack line of RVP and Ronney with Mata just behind them would be lethal and they have midfielders to do the protection and dirty work. But Moyes may need to change his way a little bit.
-
Sturridge, marin, now moses argh All our average attackers looking fantastic elsewhere. Frustrating. At least we got mata Might as well send Mata to United and see if he can be fantastic again because he currently looks average for us.
-
Can you see the word think in the sentence? I don't know in Hong Kong, but around here 'think' means something you guess will happen, not a fact. He's an amazing player - something I don't think Moses is btw - and I said I think he'll prove himself in the team. Should I draw now, or it is clear enough for you? Also did you ignore the part I said that AndrΓ© and Kevin alone proved they fit the team better or were you only worried about nitpicking (badly)? So what you "think" can overshadow the fact that Moses has done more for Chelsea or for other teams in the EPL than Willian? Until Willian proves otherwise, Moses is the more amazing EPL player. How could you deny that?
-
If you judge a player only for his performance for Chelsea, how could you say Willian is amazing?
-
Willian is 25 already while Moses is only 21. I don't think Willian was really better when he was at Moses' age.

No one blames mata for any loss but the reality is that we are a lot stronger now even in mata's absence unlike last season where without mata you couldn't even watch a chelsea match because loosing seemed imminent. Using Rvp is not the same you have Rvp and rooney >>> hernandes and welbeck but in chelsea you have mata/hazard/oscar/willian/Kdb/schurrle/Eto'o pick your choice now. Blah blah blah Liverpool are top of the table without Suraez and have other options, other strikers banging in goals for fun. Maybe Suraez also isn't necessary at Liverpool that they should sell him? I don't understand why people would focus on the team performing well with a great player's absence as opposed to thinking the team would be even better with him?
-
Again, using RVP as an example, Arsenal were top 4 with him and remained top 4 without him. So in your opinion, RVP must not be a great player and could not be vital and influential to a title winning side, right? Simply ridiculous!
-
Is this post for real? Before last season, did you also think that RVP could only be great and vital for a side competing for top 4, but not for a title winning side? Yeah every loss was Mata's fault while all those trophies in the last two years were won despite him, is that what you wanted to apply here?
