  1. Not if one is a Golgafrinchan - they of course spell geist with an "h."
  2. Yes I see my error. Citizenship and national identity are usually determined by the sound of one's last name. Klinsy has been criticized for his efforts by some here and the national side lampooned at times by some rivals, notably Mexico. So it seems that many have an issue with it although I did say I am fine with it, which would be diametrically opposed to the flaccid, and altogether spurious offering that I have problem with it. Think of it more as an issue I am reflecting on, not in a morose manner or sullenly mind you, but in the spirit of cerebral pontification. I fully understand the zeitgheist, or spirit of the times, being one of significant cross-cultrual fornication and the sharing of trans-atlantic love juice. I indeed support these later-listed endevours quite vociferously.
  3. Should I be disconcerted over the fact that Jurgen Klingus brings in so many German (Americn) players for the USA National team? I mean if a guy has dual citzenship I am fine with him representing who ever he wants, but ole Klingus is making the USA team into a giant sausage festival. Jones, Fabian Johnson, Timmy Chandler, now John Brooks and at least 2 others now. I mean it is is good for USA quality but should I care? A-Style is confused about how he feels about this. I know other national teams do it, Mexico does it all the time and even Germany seems to but I have troubles over this. And it doesnt help that I have a inner fear of Germans, anytime I see one I believe he wants to establish dominance over me. They play soccer so physically in our sunday league. Even though I am rated, they always are stomping and tackling very aggresively in our match games. Like I have taken their breakfast. I feel like Klingus is battering me now. Maybe I shouldn't care. But if the USA wins the World Cup, I think Germany will be proud and should celebrate the fact that they played a big role. Thank you Germany, I like very much you.
  4. Is that because Paulinho and Capoue make Huddlestone and Livermore expendable? I thought Huddlestone was good, but maybe not a very dynamic player? In total is Paulinho and Capoue a marginal upgrade or giant upgrade to this midfield over Huddlemore?
  5. That makes sense. Thank you. I wish I had that accent, I pull females already but with a English accent I would kill it here. No target would be un-smashable. Some times I wish I was English. Other times I wish I was Brazilian. But I have never wished I was Australian. Too many sharks I think. A-Style does not go in the water for fear of sharks. I have heard people swim the English Channel but I think I would not. My cardio is top shelf but I think sharks and people do not mix well. I always thought it would be crazy if sharks could leave the water and chase you even after you hit the beach. Vincent Kompany doesn't look like he would change his accent or be afraid of sharks. But he is Belgium so he probablly
  6. Can someone please tell me why some USA players who go to England continue to talk like an American and others come back with huge English accents? I mean Tim Howard, Dempsey, Brek Shea, etc etc stil talk like Americans but I heard Brad Friedel talking the other day and he sounded like that English leader Winston Churchill. John Harkes also. he used to play in EPL I think Sheffield? And he still talks like Hugh Grant. It doesnt bother me I am just wondering why some go there and come back sounding more English then others. I mean I wont lie when I get around people that annoy me I start to talk English too. But just stuff like I am going to go have a pint or going to go lay down and have a bit of a tug, but I just learned these from YouTube. But I barely can even understand Friedle anymore, and I rate him, I think he was a very good USA goaie. I met Harkes in an airport once a few years ago and I went to say hi and told him I enjoyed him as a player and he said he was all like "thanks mate eye gonna go grab a bit of a bite if the queue aint down the fairway so cheers on lad." It caught me off guard and it made A-Style a wee bit nervous. .....Thanks, A-Style (#12)
  7. I had a great work out today. Massive gains in the gym, all kinds of gains. The body is right. The mind i ready for this weekend. Nobody here even knows what Chelsea is. But after this weekend they will. Thinking of dying my fornt yard grass all blue with Chesea logo painted in front of the house. My dad says he will kick my ass if I do it. But they just need to recognize will step to him if he gives me drama over it. He is a Columbus Crew fan for the MLS but I am tired of that I need to bring him around. And my neighbor is a Arsenal fan, so if we win I will sneak in the night and paint his yard too. We have one of those field painter machines that line fields in the basement of where we let the house-boy live who does the chores for me. But if I pay him some side cash, I think he will help me. I am thinking I will need about 50 cans of blue spray paint and some white. If I can wake up around 1am and get him to help me I think we can complete it in 5 hours. I just need to stencil out some how the logo, I want it to be about 12 feet across. Maybe I wont do my neighbors yard yet, that is a lot of work. And earlier in the summer I took his dog to the lake house for a week with out telling him so he is still mad at me. I fed that dog steak and fish every night, I am not sure why he got so mad. But I guess it is not cool to steal someones pet and not tell them. I will definitely try to take pictures or even film the yard painting in the night if I can get Kazu to help me. Even if he says no I will step to him and he will probablly help me. I just destroyed some Liverpool fool on FIFA Xbox, Schurlle scored 9 goals. This is a good day. Ok, going to do some core training and eat some pie, will talk to the house boy and get this mission begun I think. Just have to find the paint after core training.
  8. I rate you for sure. Damn, all that Chelsea cuteness all the way in Shanghai. A-Style is defintely noticing. A-Style likes.
  9. 11.66 here in the USA is almost Olympic Trial level. Maybe tehh 100meter in the USA here is different than the 100meter in your country. I know I read some of the smaller countries because they do not have the space for full tracks shorten the distance. Not sure where you are from but if you are from a more smaller European type country, it might be the reason I am thinking.
  10. I think as a rated player I could have made it in the European Pro level clealry but injuries came up and then I decided I did not want to be a Pro player. Being rated is not like a gamer tag on XBOX live, it is a designation that follows a person for life. It is not being arrogant it is just that I had the level of quality and pure class on the field to be rated. i am a rated attacking midfielder. Those of us that have been rated we are proud of this. My manager rated me and I will not run from being a rated player even if my Pro career never happened. Like I said I think my skill set was at the level of an Isco type player at Real marid. I am not saying i was as good as Messi or Ronaldo obviously. But before my injury I was rated and I would guess I played at about the level of isco. Very controlled and smooth form, good vision, able to pass and move, and very good physical presence because of my good sporting build. I would say I had much more pace than Isco and would be much more of a threat in the air since I am 6'5. In a way I played like a skilled version of Zlatan but I only make the comparison because of our similar height. I was more calm on the ball than he is. Anyway, this is just to clarify I was not being arrogant for being rated. I am a rated player. And I am proud of that. Thank you.........A-Style bringin mad flava to your ear....out #12.
  11. Same as many of you, little twist with the double trequarista role but I think this is how we run out:
  12. Dude that is fast i admit. You and I probablly would have made a good strike-force. Even though I am rated you are a bit faster than me. That is some FIFA type level right there. A rated player and one who is 11.66 in the 100, damnnn wish you could have partnered me back in the day son!
  13. It depends, I would have to had put my eyes on you to see if I rate you. You sound as if you would be a promising prospect but without blistering pace I would not know. (I ran a 11.67 100 meters by the way so you can understand the type of pace I am talking about). Not everyone can aspire to BPL or German Top Flight, nothing to be ashamed over. In the USA I rated. I would have rated in England or germany but had injury issues. It is life. Now I train the best to be the best (in my region I mean). When my training program runs out 5-6 starters in the Blues side I will be a happy man. I'd throw away be rated any day for that.
  14. I received my formal player rating from Ocala Big Sun FC in 2003 as a starter that season every game as the maanger rated me. I also received a Class B training certificate, indicating the manager rated me.
  15. Dude, the guy has an amazing body. I do not see anything Gay about saying that a guy has an incredible body. Not like I asked him out, just was complimenting him for looking damn buff and good. If he came to us looking like that, our physio staff would be drooling to work with him I assure you.
