As much as I like DDR, we have 5 players already available to fill 2 positions. Van Ginkel was our midfield signing, and it's looking to be a damn good one.

It's unfortunate that we have to play United so early in the season. It's probably the only reason this transfer isn't progressing faster. Once that game passes I have a feeling United start listening to some offers.

Cech Ivan Cahill Terry Cole Rami Van G KDB Oscar Hazard Lukaku I'd say there is a chance of Luiz and Mata starting in place of Cahill and Oscar, but I have a feeling neither of them got enough preseason minutes under Jose. Mata probably comes off the bench at some point though. To me it looks like Jose really likes Oscar and KDB. Also, I don't see how he could start anyone but Lukaku at center forward. It was pretty obvious in preseason that Lukaku can find the back of the net as well as help his teammates score.

Any chance of letting a newbie like me in the league? I've been doing fantasy for years, but would really like to enjoy a league full of some Blues.

Van Ginkel is exactly the player we needed. You can just tell he's going to be something special for us.

There was a false lineup floating around with Torres starting. Much happier now.

I absolutely hate the feeling I get when I see Torres' name in the starting 11. Ugh

Unfortunately I missed the game this evening, but the match report and highlights have put me over the moon. Our attacking midfielders just ooze class. Adding KDB to our squad adds so much depth in that position its not even funny. His play excites me so much. Not to mention Oscar and Hazard having a full season under their belts, as well as the acquisition of Scurrle. Moses has also looked terrific so far. Absolutely cannot wait for the season to start! Let's steam roll Madrid first though.

I had a brilliant time at the game last night. So exciting to see the squad in person. Prior to the match I was able to find their hotel and watch them depart for the stadium. It was truly something standing just a couple feet from Jose and the entire squad. As far as the match goes, there really wasn't much to complain about. The red card absolutely killed the game which was the worst part about the whole experience. Moses played some of the best football he ever has in a Chelsea shirt which is highly encouraging. Van Ginkel and Ramires were both immense in midfield. MVG is a much bigger body in midfield than I originally thought when we made the signing. I think that makes a partnership with Ramires incredibly viable. Oscar's strike was phenominal, and felt a little extra special as I was wearing my Oscar jersey. Overall, the back 4 looked very solid and we were always a threat on the counter. I can't wait for the season to kick off now that I've seen the team in person. Up the Chels!

I figure this might be a good spot to introduce myself as I will be attending this match. This will be the first time I'm seeing Chelsea in person and I couldn't be more excited. Hopefully I will end up with some good photos to post here. I have previously been following a different Chelsea forum, but decided to leave due to some really poor attitudes. I've been lurking here for a little while and it looks to be a good spot to start discussing the squd with some other Blues fans. I have high hopes for this season and I look forward to sharing the experience with all of you. KTBFFH
