  1. I talked about it in the Hazard thread but since it's not really the topic for that I'll repost that here To explain further my thoughts : I said it in the Hazard thread already but I really do believe Mourinho is a great coach but there's always something people are good at and others they aren't ofcourse. So what I was thinking " Could Mourinho be the kind of coach the kind of coach that is more at ease with average up to really good player than with stars players ". In the case I didn't use the right words, it's by no means a trashing or anything I'm just really interested to hear your opinions on this ( Sorry if this has been discussed already I couldn't bring myself to read 744 pages of comments )
  2. I have thought about this all the season it just a " what if " so take this post accordingly please. If you compare player like Ronaldo/Bale/Drogba and Messi/Ronaldihno/Zidane even if they're all great I would easily call the laters " genius " thanks to their sense of the game etc... In my opinion you can't raise people like that, only give them adives/hints and leave them -almost totally- free on the field anything else would just shackle them. On the other hand you have Mourinho who is up there as a coach thanks to his tactics like everyone knows and looks really prideful about it. He doesn't look like someone flexible either. He did raise Drogba but as I said before there's something fundamentally different between those kind of players. To get to the point I'm under the impression Mourinho can't acknowledge there's things in football that can trascend tactics. I repeat myself it's just a feeling.and one possibility along many others so take this post accordingly.
  3. I don't really understand all the fuss about what he said really. He surely could have used better words but did people REALLY didn't understand what he meant ? I geniunely hope for them it's not the case, after all -as human beings- it would be worrisome.. Anyway people fall into the traps of the media and play a part in this masquerade and then blame -insert name here-. I guess it's also Hazard fault if half the world lack common sense... Sad world indeed.
  4. I almost read the whole topic but I don't remember reading someone implying this is Hazard FC or anything. Actually I don't even know how a club could become -insert player name- FC. Could RM be called Ronaldo FC ? I don't think so, he certainly help his team a lot and sometimes even -almost- win a match by his own but they're also there thanks to the teamwork. It's not because a team has a player that could be said to be their star that it means it's only thanks to that player the team is up there. In the case of Eden we all know what he is capable of, he surely helped the team more than once and I surely said he need more support but does this imply becoming the " Hazard FC " ? No way. It's also teamwork to support someone who has special ability/potential in the name of the team. In the end it's not because someone shine brighter than the others ( It's just an exemple, I actually believe Hazard has been somewhat poor since the game at Etihad) that the others aren't being more than helpfull for the team. Also, while I do think Mourinho tactics has greatly helped the team more than once I also do believe he could have done better in some others; I do believe he's smart but I do not believe he's the genius some people think he is; I do believe he is a great coach maybe be the best but I do believe it's impossible to put 2 coachs on a balance and say for sure. I do believe noone is flawless and even though some do seems to think Mourinho is I do not believe he is. In the end around Mourinho it seems to be either too much hate or too much love there's hardly any middle ground... Even here. Edited for gammar Errors.
  5. What you're saying is true but it's also true that the fact Hazard was there ( in his own box ) is circumstantial and mistakes are bound to happen in case like that. Mourinho put him in this role knowing it isn't its forte. Was hazard at fault ? Yes, no doubt about that. Could he have done better ? Yes, no doubt about that either. Was he the man for this kind of situation ? No. In the end Hazard was nothing more than a part of the gear that led to the goal. What I think it's that Hazard is misued right now. A player like Hazard who has the potential to be a worldbeater should be trained and played in a way that would bring his skills set to their paroxysm it would be way more efficient for him and for Chelsea than to try to make him an all round player ( at least I'm under the impression that's the way it is right now ).
  6. First post, I might say things you don't like but don't be too harsh on me . For a start Hazard surely has fault on the 1st and 3rd goal just like Cole for the 1st who has too afraid to put an OG and didn't go for the clearance and Azpilicueta on the 3rd who, for whatever reason, was on the right. It's really a collective mistake.. But what I would like to point out its that it's also a tactical mistake. Too many people fail to understand that one can fulfill it's " defensive " duty and actually being more useful to the team by staying high; When you look at the game, Atletico FB were both allowed to come help their forward on -almost- every single occasion and they could do that only because Chelsea defended so deep leaving Torres alone up there, if William or Hazard were allowed to stay high it would never happen and if it actually did happen it would meant a possible 2 vs 2 on the counter. When people think about Hazard they think about it's ability to get past defender but this is thanks to its pace and close control, tool that are deadly when given space hence why he should be allowed to stay higher on the field and if you actually remember Mourinho allowed it on the City away game... And how it went ? Do I need to make you remember that's also how the goal was created ? Ofcourse Hazard could do more but you can also see that he need more support from the team, almost every single time he's on his left side and receive the ball and there's 2 to 3 defenders close to him you can see him stop, wait a bit, and then do a pass, I read some people complaining about this here but I guess what I see from this must be different, what I see is a player waiting for movement around him, waiting for someone to get into the space, someone to play 1-2 with after drawing players to him but it almost never happen yet when it does happen it almost always actually lead to a dangerous situation. So why ? What chelsea really lack right now isn't a striker, it would help ofcourse but it's in the collective play it's really lacking and if you remember the few games at the start of the season ( and on a few occasion after that ) the team had that but lost it somehow.
