  1. Hazard probably does have more to his game, yes. However that doesn't mean he can achieve more. Bale does what works for him, and it's really effective. It has end product - you can't argue with that. I see what you're saying though, I just don't think that it will matter. Ronaldo had so much more to his game when he played for us, and was brilliant yes. Since moving to Madrid though he changed his style and became more 'simple' but more effective. His goal tally dramatically increased. It's just proof that having more to your game isn't always best - doing what makes stuff happen is. Bale is pretty much this currently. This fantasy Hazard ceiling doesn't have any bearing for me. It may never be reached if it even is higher. It's a close call, but I have to go with current form. I always do. Bale is better.
  2. I gave Hazard praise too - so I'm not sure how my comment was anti-Chelsea. Also I see nobody else really challenged it on a CHELSEA forum. I guess most of them live in the real world. Stop being so defensive. I'm not trying to wind you up. I'm not too sure about that either. Both look like they can hit top level. Who becomes the best is yet to be seen. There are lots of things that can happen. Currently Bale is making the biggest progress.
  3. On current form Bale is better than Hazard I'm afraid. He was an absolute monster last season, and while Hazard was very impressive also - not as much as Bale. The majority of the world would take Bale for sure if offered the choice between both players. Bale won awards - two of them actually. Stop being so biased.
  4. Just head down to Rooney's parents caravan. They're always up for the crack. They give away absolutely everything if you ask them. Go hear it from them. I've had emough ;p
  5. That is the whole point - it's all just paper talk. I do know one thing that is certain, and that is Moyes being close to the player most days being able to talk to him and get in touch with his feelings. He's apparently had a few proper chats with him too and wants to keep him. Isn't that another big indicator that he actually wants to stay? Put that with no transfer request, and you have almost a certainty. As for your last point - I point you to Thiago Alcantara. The press had us as 'on the brink' of signing him - later the player himself revealed the two parties had never even spoken.
  6. I'd take that if the signing was Fabregas, but I just can't get my head around it being a reality. Neither transfer will happen for me. We'll probably end up signing Fellaini. Rooney has already played for us again, and scored (or got two assists) one or the other, different sites say different things..Unhappy? Hmm.
  7. It's going to be a painful end of the window for us both to be honest. I will say it's not 100% in my mind he won't go, but it is 99%. You can hang on to that glimmer of hope - yet it won't change the fact he has said nothing official about wanting to leave. It's getting near the end of the window and it's surely the time for some noise if he really wants out. Moyes didn't make any statement that is correct, however he was asked to. If I was Moyes I couldn't make the statement either because who knows what was actually said in that conversation between Rooney and Fergie. It wasn't really his place. So I can understand him saying nothing. The biggest indicator has to be no movement by Rooney.
  8. You're just ignoring what I've said. There is nothing to answer if he has not asked to leave - what is so hard about it? Why would he ask to leave, and then deny it when found out? It makes no sense. It all points to him telling the truth. And you will find he did request Moyes to make it clear he did not ask to leave. I'm not even a Rooney fan, I'm just looking at this with a level head. I'm bewildered how many of you think this is on though. The press are owning you all.
  9. Fabregas hasn't said he wants to stay at Barcelona either - does that mean he will sign for us? The majority of people have forgotten one simple but very telling FACT. The only thing Rooney has come out and said is that he did NOT ask to leave officially or hand in a transfer request. When the media get the slightest glimpse of something like this they get the ball and run with it. They are so good at it now that they make us so confused we don't know what to believe. All you have to do is try and look at the facts. Rooney was very annoyed about this whole affair and even worried about what United fans will think. Is this the thinking of a guy who will leave the club? I don't think so.
  10. It's hard to tell. I don't even know what Moyes' preferred formation will be with us. Will there be a trequartista role behind RvP? I would of thought so, and that will leave Rooney and Kagawa to fight for it. I don't think it was ever as simple as Rooney being RvP's back up. That's more like Hernandez for me personally. I know Moyes said it, but I really hope he doesn't see him as that. If I was pushed I'd say Kagawa would be better in behind RvP, but if Rooney can find form and happiness at our club again, it's a really tough call. Plus we know Rooney is good in quite a few positions, so he's very valuable. As far as the wages go - I've always thought they were extortionate. Bottom line - Rooney shouldn't be seen as RvP's back up. He can play in the team with RvP, and even with RvP and Kagawa. I don't really think his first team place is in jeopardy as long as he pulls his finger out. I think he's been given these reassurances and is now happy.
  11. I completely agree. I said this a few pages back. I feel you are all going through this for no reason. It's hard I know, because I'm guilty of it myself (hoping a player will join) - but people should just get over it. He's not joining Chelsea.
  12. Having already won the league had no bearing on that game. It was our managers last in charge - and you can bet your life we were trying to win it. Lukaku simply couldn't be stopped that day. I honestly hope you don't play Lukaku next season as it's a mistake, and will help us. Rooney has been as quiet as a mouse. You have to ask why? It's like you said, he has to make some noise, but he hasn't.
  13. Well that is fairly put. I don't mind that. Apart from line one. Fans don't gain a right to put him down with no evidence of failure, just because it's a step up.
  14. Well Negredo missed three great chances last night. Two headers and another chance I think - maybe it was two chances. Either way he flapped playing Bayern at first. He did manage to score one eventually though - however it was against Martinez playing as a CB... which doesn't convince me. He's still got a lot to prove. I will say this though - he's some finisher when playing well.
  15. There was a bit of tongue in cheek involved in my comment. However, if you want to be serious - you stand no chance of ever signing him. There is only one team he'd sign for in England, and you know it. Keep putting Moyes down with no justification, it makes you look extremely unintelligent. I don't understand how people are judging him yet. He hasn't even had a season in charge.... it's so stupid.
  16. Don't worry Ronaldo will be home soon.
  17. I don't want to know what holes. Please don't tell me. ;p
  18. His favourite position is in the hole actually.
  19. Well yeah preseason isn't to be taken that seriously. However the way Bayern bossed them in the first half was pretty embarrassing. At one point is was something like 72/28 in possession favouring Bayern. Both played strong teams - it was a good opportunity to test themselves. City definitely looked very organised but lacked creativity. And yeah, I don't know what the fascination with us is. We've been quiet in the transfer market. I guess it's the Rooney stuff.
  20. Ended 2-1 to Bayern. City looking quite average IMO.
  21. Muller makes them suffer even more - what a player he is.
  22. This is lunacy. The team that collected eighty-nine... yeah (89) points - eleven more than second place last year will deteriorate so much Spurs will be the team to beat? What? Oh wait, I guess it's Soldado that will make all the difference. ;/ Worst post I've read in a long while. Sorry, but it is.
  23. Anything that doesn't contain Stingray's modesty. ;p I have my doubts too. However I think Moyes was chosen for the right reasons. This is just my opinion, but I believe Moyes has the same special trait SAF had - getting the best out of a team. He did it with Everton consistently. His major flaw would be not managing to win things, but that is hard with Everton to be fair. I think he's inherited a very strong team, it's obviously not a special team like Munich but with the right signings it could be. I will admit I won't be happy if we don't add to our midfield. We need to.
  24. They're worried about losing Ronaldo. He won't sign a new contract. He's asking for insane money, like £20m a season? Something like that. This is why they want Bale. He's Perez's back-up. To add to that, the guy is completely out of touch with normality. This sort of money is just crazy - no two ways about it. Ronaldo went for £80m, and in my opinion is a far superior player to Bale. Levy wanting £125m is the talk at the minute - if that is paid I give up with Levy too. Two utter idiots together; Levy and Perez. I'd call them dumb and dumber only Levy will be the exact opposite if he gets this money for a guy who has had ONE great season. To be ranked with Messi and Ronaldo is new levels of ridiculous.
  25. Or I chose to ignore it and laugh at that picture. ;p
