A Banner For The Double

We here at cfcuk.net have been asked to run a competition to find a design for a banner to celebrate Chelsea’s superb achievement in winning the Double. Under Carlo Ancelotti’s management, the Chelsea player’s strove to make club history and, after a somewhat turbulent season, put things right with the FA Cup Final win against Portsmouth.

The 1-0 win against Avram Grant’s side followed an exciting climax to the Premier League which saw Chelsea regain the Title from Manchester Utd on the last day of the season with an emphatic 8-0 victory against Wigan at Stamford Bridge.

Following up on two previous and similar competitions, we are asking Chelsea supporters to come up with a design that encapsulates the spirit and sense of achievement in winning the domestic Double.

The banner will be displayed from between the Lower and Upper Matthew Harding Stands meaning that there is a maximum height restriction of 3 feet 1.1 metres but, as far as the width is concerned, your design can stretch to a maximum of 30 feet. – 9 - 9.144 metres.

The designer of the winning banner will be able to choose to attend any match at Stamford Bridge next season along with a friend with the closing date for entries being July 12th, the day after this summer’s World Cup Final.

Please send your designs – in Jpeg form – by email to; [email protected].
