Yeah, it can be difficult to keep them. I lost count how many of mine died... :whistling:

Thats the problem with some types of fish, especially tropical ones. Unless you really know what you are doing I wouldnt advise anyone to get tropical fish. They can be expensive to keep replacing them every few weeks can put a large whole in your pocket.

The goldfish I have at present have been with me for about 5 years and are still going strong, before that I had one for 10 years before he croaked it :wub:

They're quite cheap here tho'. The ordinary orange orandas I have cost less than 0.5 pound each. Small pearlscales without headgrowth is about 1 pound each. :P

Orange Oranda.....Is that the Clown fish???

Think you'd pay about 10pound a touch for one of them, maybe more :P

I don't have tropical fish, just different variety of goldfish (unless they're tropical, too).

always thought they were an odd looking fish - i mean its head sticks out, its tummy drops down, and its bum is in the air - its strange it can even swim at all really :rolleyes:
