I might add them later on, just started collecting for about a month. I'll see if the tanks would be too small if I add things as there're at least several goldies in each tank.

Tri-Blue do you reckon i could keep a sea horse in one of them?

TBH...you'd be better asking instore. I use mine for goldfish, but you can get the heater and all to make it suitable for tropical fish and have loads of smaller fish.

As for the empty look, you can get accessories for the Biorb to make it more appealing to look at. There are different size ones so the bigger the biorb the more plants you can have. You have to clean the filter at least once every week, you can get them for about a 5 pound. The stones provided are specifically designed for the boorb and dont need to be cleaned like other stones/gravel might, although I would change mine once a month to keep them from getting grubby. Again they are about 5 pound a bag.

Personally I think they are more eye catching than a normal tank.

Yeah, it can be difficult to keep them. I lost count how many of mine died... :whistling:

Thats the problem with some types of fish, especially tropical ones. Unless you really know what you are doing I wouldnt advise anyone to get tropical fish. They can be expensive to keep replacing them every few weeks can put a large whole in your pocket.

The goldfish I have at present have been with me for about 5 years and are still going strong, before that I had one for 10 years before he croaked it

They're quite cheap here tho'. The ordinary orange orandas I have cost less than 0.5 pound each. Small pearlscales without headgrowth is about 1 pound each. :P

I don't have tropical fish, just different variety of goldfish (unless they're tropical, too).

The ones I have are still smaller than that tho'.
