HORSE RACING IN EUROPE - A SURVEY

The Greek race course is dying and will probably close down.
This is due to the many mistakes of its governing bodies but there are important external factors too influencing the situation. It's worrying.

I 'm trying to find out what is happening in the rest of Europe.
As we have friends from allover the continent here who are sports fans you may help in this.
Already two or three of you have mailed me some comments, using the private messaging.

From this study I deliberately exclude the "three big racing nations of Europe", that is UK, Ireland, France.
Because whatever the overall economic situation may be, it's a national sport over there and will always be.
The other smaller countries are relevant to this study.

Is horse racing in your country doing well or progressively in dismal situation like ours ?
I think -but I 'm not certain- in Serbia it has stopped.
