Question for French speakers

I often use the phrase "Chelsea is a strong team".
But it's not correct because an Englishman will say "Chelsea are a strong team".
A Greek man who lives in England for the last 85 years will make the same mistake.

We say "είναι" (e-i-na-i) which is both singular and plural so it makes no difference.

But what do the French say ?
Do they say  "Paris St Germain est la meilleure equipe en France" or do they sayε "Paris St Germain sont la meilleure equipe en France" ;

In other languages ?

The French use the singular (Paris St Germain est ...).
Except perhaps when the team's name is in plural, such as Rangers, New York Giants.
Wolves maybe they don't understand it's a plural.
What about the other languages ?
