Changing seats in Stamford Bridge

Hi there , I am a Chelsea fan from Greece. I support Chelsea for many years but due to the distance I never had a chance to go to the Bridge until last year when I watched Chelsea vs Everton.(such a feeling to see the winning goal in 93rd min). This year I planned to go again for the match vs Southampton in two weeks. I bought a ticket as a Chelsea member in Matthew Harding Upper.

I have a friend studying in London so we thought of going together. So I found and bought for him a ticket through Ticket exchange, in Matthew Harding Upper as well. However his seat is around the middle of the stand whereas mine is close to the corner near East stand.

So my question is if it is possible for us to somehow sit next to each other. Can we for example ask the guy next to me, if he is single, to exchange seats with my friend? Do such thinks happen at the Bridge sometimes? I am asking because here in Greece the case is that you buy your ticket for a stand and (although it is numbered) you can seat wherever you want at the stand (if you are a bit more naughty maybe you can jump to another stand as well). Well, I guess that things are stricter in the UK.

I would appreciate any answer.

Thank you.
