Speaking to Voetbal International, Chelsea’s scout Piet de Visser has let slip that Heerenveen midfielder Daley Sinkgraven is on a list of potential targets for the club.

The 19-year-old has made a big impression for Heerenveen this season, and a transfer scramble to prise the talent away from the Abe Lenstra Stadion looks set to break out this summer with his club determined to keep hold of him this month.

Sinkgraven himself has always stated that he feels its too soon to move abroad with Liverpool and Manchester United linked, and it appears Ajax are favourites to sign him, with coach Frank de Boer admitting he hopes to sign him as soon as possible.

Chelsea are also keen on Sinkgraven as scout Piet de Visser revealed he is on the Premier League giants target list.

De Visser said, “On Daley Sinkgraven I find it very difficult to say anything because I’ve agreed with Chelsea that I will not speak about the talents that are on our list.”

“I follow him and that goes beyond watching a game from time to time.

“I look for five things: technique, anticipation, passing, dribbling, vision. Can he read the game, see the right solution?

“Physically, has he speed, power, endurance and mental dexterity. He absolutely has to have the will to win.

“And finally, how is his character? Including the family that he comes from. Is he stable?”

Sinkgraven, who has made 17 appearances this season, scoring three times is contracted at Heerenveen until 2017
