No offence mate, but are you writing articles to show your opinion or to impress others? Write whatever you want, don't fear people disagreeing with you or sparking debates. Mata can play out wide.

Is it true that Bayern have struggled so far this season?

Haha no not really. I just don't want to derail it from the topic . I've made it a point to never talk about the team I'm not analyzing , cause usually im doing it for them . One thing leads to another and the next thing you know , we're talking about why Obama is the president . :P

Yeah Bayern have . They keep possession according to statistics , but the problem they have is efficiently converting it into chances . Once they give the ball away , they don't make the smooth transition to defense and fall prey to very fast counter-attacks . Freiburg is an example , they drew in their previous game .

I avoided writing that cause people would want Mata to start as the no.10. I didn't want any debates . But he has to start IMO , cause like he stopped Pirlo and Carrick from distributing the play, he'll have to stop Schweini cause their attacks are slowly built from the back. Cut him off , and we can slowly choke Bayern's supply line .

Schweinsteiger is not exactly like Pirlo and Carrick though as he's essentially like you said the link up player between defence and midfield.

Pirlo and Carrick have a lot more freedom in the sense that they more oft than not switch from defence to attack straight away with a long direct ball.

Of course Bastian has the capabilities to do such BUT he's not Bayern's main supply line IMO, he's the link to supply which is not exactly the same.

Would make sense to start Oscar at 10 to harass that link a little bit but wouldn't be surprised if Mata started too, depending on the game plan Mourinho chooses. The former is more likely though knowing Jose.

What would be interesting is if he started Oscar in the pivot to harass the two in midfield alongside someone like MVG or Ramires. I think that could be another tactical master stroke. Wouldn't be surprised to see Schurrle on the wings either to help disrupt Ribery/Alaba or Robben/Lahm.

We will have to see though, plenty of options in the squad. Should be an interesting tactical game.

Yea I heard, Pep rested some players and conceded a late goal.

So who will win the general elections next year? :P

Ah didn't say that he was the supply line but more like the one whose responsible for initiating the attacks or holding the midfield together in their proper shape . It would be really good to see Oscar in the pivot . We'll be much better in pressing as a unit as well .

Brilliant in depth analysis

Because before i think, pep doesnt right to change their amazing gameplay mostly toward of the season, when they like playing perfect football

compact defence

no pointless possesion like often show by tika taka passing football and many of us think that boring too

Their attacking was fast, dangerous and effective

Plus some body strength in the team

So It is like pep fixing something not broken at all and actually like changing their whole gameplay

Plus ribbery ever saying to media, 4-1-4-1 is weird

So for me really nice analysis and thanks to share
