Anybody got any? recommend them?

Its an area that interests me, maybe not specifically coaching in terms of being out there delivering training to players, but the theory behind it and the tactics is what interests me.

theres the basic level 1, but from what i understand you can skip past that if you have a minor interest in football and go straight to the level 2. however its a bit of money and mostly done in evenings/full days which is a problem for me at the moment due to work. im currently going through the free online courses as it doesnt hurt and its a little bit of extra knowledge.

Ive also looked at strength and conditioning accredidation (UKSCA), the workshops are pretty expensive, however i have most of the theoretical knowledge already from my education, its just the minimum 3 months case study that is holding me back as i have no work or experience with athletes/teams and hterefore no access to them - howeveri plan to work on that by getting some short term work experience at local lower league clubs.

the qualifications mentioned above are seen as fairly useful if you want to go in to football so i guess im going to gradually work my way to getting them, however they are done at specific times and dates, and im yet to find one course in my region that i can do without it interferring with my part time job!! so frustrating!!!!

I just want to hear from peoples experience of them and what to expect. from what ive read so far i dont think id learn much more than what i know now, i may get some good pointers on how to deliver sessions, but that doesnt appeal to me that much, but i want to do them because all the jobs ive looked for in football clubs prefer you to have them.

I have FA Level 1, 2, and 3 badges. I'm converting my Level 3 into a UEFA B-Licence this August now I've reached the required age (20).

Level 1 is a piece of piss. Level 2 is as well, but its more time-consuming. I think the Level 3 course changed in 2012, but when I sat mine in 2011 it included a practical evaluation as well as a "class test" of sorts. It was a 13-day course and you had to attend every one of the 2-hour sessions to pass, before doing a final evaluation in a 20-minute 16-person drill, or 8v8 game.

Would definitely recommend it though, as soon as you have a Level 3, most Welfare Football Clubs are obligated to pay you for a wage as you are, moreorless, a professionally-trained coach.

That used to be similar to that, in France until this season...

They shared every module into several badges: in order to be UEFA B coach you need to pass 15 2-day badges ; they even added a stage just before UEFA B. That's really annoying as I wanted to pass those badges as fast as I could then to look at serious stuff after that...
