I doubt he would be happy with anything other than a starting position in the first eleven every week. It's a cliché Drogba character assessment, but it's close to the truth. Sturridge or potentially Lukaku can be insurance if Torres still hasn't got his act together.

Hopefully. Although Ron Gourlay's recent comments over Drogba's future cast doubt over that. No rumours over Kalou, Anelka and co's future either (yes, it's early days, but still). Having said that, Hiddink’s arrival would have had the opposite effect. So the decision to bring in AVB alone must be a sign of intent.

Villas Boas as manager, and Hiddink as DoF would be the dream team. The 15m release cause is a concern though. Considering there are no guarantees Roman will give him time, and the club have already given Carlo a £6m pay off.

I suppose the argument against this, is that it keeps discussion going, but since it's all fantasy anyway (without a credible source/quotes) then what's the difference. Why would anyone want to be mislead, and anticipate something only to be disappointed.
