The problem is that you all think Torres is viewed by Europeans the same way as he is viewed by Chelsea fans. If you talk to Italians or Spanish fans, you would be surprised by how high he is still ranked. Besides, his performances in Europa League and Barcelona gives them many excuses for their positivism... You are trying to put yourself into Napoli's president mind, but you forget that little important part if the puzzle! Fernando Torres is not as useless as you are all making of him. I bet he will do much better at Napoli than he ever did here. Napoli cant get anyone much better for 20mi euros. Add to that Benitez's wish to see him at Naplesa and there you go! There arent many options instead of Torres. Remy is shit, Damiao is shit, Suarez is too expensive and Dzeko is at about the same wage as Torres (with the downside he isnt yet super rich, so money is still a big deal). The Zorres we saw in relapses is good enough to play in Serie A. It is indeed a player worth 20mi euros...

Maybe because this isnt wonderland? Because although you love your BMW you still need to pay for the gas, ensurance, etc? Because even if you are able to pay for all that you still need to bank other stuff in life, such as your house, kids, wife, etc? It will happen like that, but not with an offer of 30mi euros (which is around 24.5mi pounds)...In a business, you dont throw your honest bid at first, you go a low as you can to see if the other side falls for it. The fact we rate Torres at 25mi is not ridiculous, it is just how it works. Why offer 40mi + Torres If you can try to get it for 30mi? it is smart to go low at first and than improve it until Napoli accpets it. I would accept 40mi + Torres! Fernando would do much better at Napoli than he did at Chelsea. He would be with Benitez, in a counter-attacking team and with a much lesser wage. Dude, in what world you live in? As soon as Cavani sees the teams, coaches and wages he would be playing in, all your dream theory of 'I love Napoli' goes to waist... Also, Torres and Benitez may very well want to rejoin forces. He was playing quite well in this last month and he has a way better reputation around Europe that you might think! Every deal, specially a big one, involves many variables and choices/decisions. However, Torres + 30-40mi for Cavani makes perfect sense!

I would be very surprised if any of the things you said happens... 1) The option of him staying is pratically impossible, he already stayed one more year because Napoli's president asked him to. Now, he will want to gain much more money an to actually fight for trophies. 2) Why would Napoli accept 50mi euros and no striker in return, but would not accept 30-40mi and Torres? It makes no sense... 3) I can see Torres leaving to rejoin Benitez at Napoli, it all depends if he wants to play football and be happy or if he wants to make money and train with the reserves.

Not really, if Napoli really want Torres, how much do you think they will need to offer Chelsea (Roman) to actually get him? I would say around 15-20mi pounds... Doing the math, all Napoli can get for Cavani is around 50mi pounds (selling to either ManCity or PSG). Minus what they would have to pay for Torres, it leaves them with 30-35mi pounds at the most... Raising our offer to around 35-40mi euros, it makes perfect sense for Napoli/Cavani/Torres/Chelsea to agree to it!

I have been sayin this for ages, but people didnt believe when I said Madrid wouldnt sell any first team player to Mourinho...Modric, Khedira, Lopez, Marcelo, etc, wont even be considered to be allowed to follow Jose. However, Coentrao, Kaka, Di Maria and Higuain are players Real really want to sell, so I think they would accept a good offer from anyone (including Chelsea).

This deal could be good for everyone involved... 1) Cavani would go to a much better league and would play with one of the best (if not the best) manager in the world. On top of that, he would be served by the likes of Mata, Hazard, Oscar, etc, which is something to make any striker happy. Also, he would be realistic competing in the Champions League and EPL. Oh, and Cavani would have a much better wage, of course! 2) Napoli and Benitez are in the Champions League and Serie A next season will be tough due to Juve and Milan. Because of that, they need to greatly improve in some key areas of the pitch. Getting a replacement who, belive it or not, has a good reputation in Europe and still recieve 30mi to improve in other positions (a CB and a DM/CM are a must) is a hell of a good deal. 3) Chelsea fans would be happy to get rid of Torres and Chelsea fans would be happy to sign a top striker. The two in the same deal? I cant even put it in words, completely orgasmic!!! 4) Agents, everyone would be happy, every transfer is a wank party for them. So Benitez's, Torres' and Cavani's agents would be screaming if the deal really goes through... PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN!
