"If I want to win 1-0, I think I can. One of the easiest things in football is to win 1-0. 'It's not so difficult. You structure your team from the back, you organise your team from the defensive idea, you don't give freedom to your players to express themselves,"

I don't know, to me he just looks like he has lost a step physically and imo it impact his ability too shield the ball or to burst past his man . He has more experience and it is important but he is not really an acurate passer at this stage of his career. Even in 2009/2010 he only completed 57% of his passes and it was a good year for him , he also turned the ball over almost 5 times (4.8) a game , lukaku has never turned the ball more than 2 times a game on average. At west brom he had a 71% passing acuracy and at everton 66% while making more passes and having more touches than Drogba in 2009/2010 and we can agree that this Drogba ain't walking true that door . So even if my eyes deceive me in thinking that Lukaku is way mor clumbersome than Drogba...facts , and number do not agree? and as i said earlier , lukaku appearsq as agile with a ball than bambi on ice but somehow he makes it work.

"Question marks have been raised regarding Lukaku's technical ability and in that sense he certainly is no like-for-like Drogba replacement. He gave away possession due to a poor touch an average of 1.6 times per game last season, meaning he did so with 4.2% of his touches. That in itself seems like quite a lot of the time; more than 1 in every 25 of his touches would go straight to the opposition. Drogba, though, did so with 14.5% of his touches in the Champions League last season, while Costa lost the ball with 6.5% of his in La Liga last term. The teams played a similar proportion of their passes long (Everton 12.2%, Atlético 11.8%) so it is not as if Costa's job was more difficult in this regard, and with fewer still passes played long at Chelsea (11.2%), Lukaku's so-called poor first touch certainly wouldn't be a problem." http://www.sportskeeda.com/football/is-chelsea-decision-sell-romelu-lukaku-right-one

And strangely the two of them have more or less the same passing acuracy, lukaku wins more header scores at a better rate than Drogba and is less often dispossed. He is not easy on the eye but a good player he is. http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/08/01/romelu-lukaku-has-already-proven-he-is-a-better-option-than-di-1/

Only "double digit" is a little bit skewed as a criteria ...Heskey scored 20 goals , lukaku 32 that's like 60% more.... It took Heskey three seasons to score 33. My mistake.... four seasons to score 36.

"I don’t have harsh feelings against Chelsea. They gave me the oportiutnity to come to England and the hopes of playing European football. Without them I wouldn’t be here, so I want to thank them as well.” Biiig Mouth

-Romelu? -We don't rate you ! -Why? -Your first touch is poor, you are not dedicated enough , you are a coward and your penalties suck -So....? -You can leave for 25-30.000.000 -That makes sense !

Reporter: There is only a small chance you will leave Chelsea this summer? eh: There is NO chance i'll leave , I'm happy at chelsea . reporter: n°10 eh: yup n°10 He also says jokingly he injured himself on purpose to be fresh @ the world cup , and that people like Ribery , ronaldo who are asked to perfom eachand every day might be tired at this time of the year and it's only normal ..but he , he feels fresh thanks to the aforementioned "fake auto injury" The"no chance " segment was (emphatic? if that s thez correct word) there wasn't any ambiguity

On topic:Did Chelsea play all their matches vs PSG , or where they matches against superpowers like Basle, or let's say Bucaresti ...Galatasaray ? Rubin Kazan did beat the holders didn't they ? Is Benfica that bad? Was Steaua Bucaresti 2013 that much better than the 2012 version ? And it wasn't even my point....I was just saying that improvement has not been "immense" because and I did 51 points divided by 26 games is 1.9615 point per game 82 points divided by 38 games is 2.158 point per game a 0.19 point difference per game multiplied by 38 games and we have our 7 points difference , I substract them from 82 and i am around 74-75 points depending on the rounding of the number. This is math ) And if RDM had a better record and blah blah ...the "improvement" is even smaller .Keep in mind I was not trying to say that Benitez was better , i was only saying that improvement is maybe not as significant as we might believe. A 7 point gap between to seasons only need a one game swing from each season to become a 1 point gap essentially a tie. moses/marin/benayoun ?!!!! 19/14/14 apps this year with maybe 5 goals between them and three of these goals are championship goals , last year everytime one of mazacar needed to take a break the level drop was ...i stil have nightmares. To say that a 25 millions player is just extra...is mmmmh...well, if i see a thread mocking his performances as long as the one mikel got , i wiil believe Matic is not a massive improvement quality wise. Ooh and I believe that ba/torres <<<< ba/torres/etoo.

75 points vs 82 points is not a significant difference , the squad has more depth and has played less game. A 7 point improvement is to be expected with reinforcement , investment, and a less taxing schedule. Hell the Spurs point total the three last years 69-72 (record) - 69 AVB was still fired and the season deemed a failure. I think it's insane but it's another debate. About the huffing and puffing ....the CL journey was not really a smooth one, was it?

I was curious so Aguero 2011+2012 = 4545 min and 35 goals it's one every 129 min Aguero 2012+2013 = 3146 min and 27 goals it's one every 116 min Lukaku 2012+2013 = 4016 min and 30 goals it's one every 134 min In case you wondered it means that an "as fit as lukaku " Aguero would have scored 34 goals or 2 more goals per season

It means that on a yearly basis a center forward will dribble once ,twice but not much even the technically gifted. -Hyperbole Warning- If a center forward could not drible at all , it would still only means a 1 dribble differential with some of the very best striker in the league. It is not something to lose sleep about and remember I can't dribble but Lukaku makes one drible per game so the differential won't ever be as large. These were just datas , information , facts in my previous post...this post is subjective.
