Correct. Double pivot is all about intercepting the balls, disrupting the opponents in the channels, drop down to help the backline, distributing the ball properly for the attack. Lampard and Mikel did that pretty well for RDM.

But selecting the CMs here are a different ask too. Because their roles will be different than that of the Double pivot.

Don't think he will fit in a double pivot. Lampard and Mikel will keep the positions. Those positions need good passers. Harshly, Ramires isn't a better passer than either of them, and not even Meireles.
