When you say someone like Cruz, it tells me that you only know what the liberal media and leftists have said. Cruz is a Constitutional Conservative. That means that at the Federal level, the Government only has the power specifically provided it by the Constitution. It means that his positions and what he would do as president are based on rule of law not what he wants. For example he is staunchly against gay marriage personally, but when he's asked if he would ban it if he could if becomes president he tells people that same sex marriage is a States right issue not a Federal issue. Obama and Leftists on the other hand have no problem using the Federal government as a hammer to force what they want on people that don't want it and have voted against on one hand, and ignore laws against illegal immigration and illegal drugs on the other (I personally don't care if drugs are legalized but laws need to be overturned not ignored.) I strongly believe in Constitutionality being the only determining factor in whether laws are created at the Federal level and that States have the right to make laws that fit the people that live in them in all matters that that responsibility is not delegated to the Feds. Ted Cruze is the only politician running for President that has walked the walk in this regard so I support him.

At a brokered convention it would go to Rubio. Cruze and Trump would get locked out. The establishment would rather throw the election to Hildog than support either of them. I say that as a Cruze supporter that donates regularly to his campaign.

Going all out on gun control is 0bama cynically deflecting attention with help from his lapdog media and fellow leftists the fact that he said isis couldn't attack us here, that they were JV, and that why did conservatives fear women and children refugees (it turns out to be 70% military aged males...) being imported here and it turns out that the woman is the one who radicalized the man.

Crap. I had a long detailed post and when I opened a a new tab on my phone to verify I had remembered things correctly and came back to post it was gone. So the short truncated version is, there's no video of the shooting but you say it's definitely a racial killing. It's not. It's an American Police thing. James Boyd and Kelley Thomas were killed by police on video for no reason and the police were ruled justified. It doesn't matter the race they'll kill you as soon as you give them an excuse. The other races just don't riot about it. Blacks make up 13% of the population. If they decide to race war like you're advocating them to do there'll only be one possible outcome. Historical injustices are that, history. Why is it that a Pakistani or Iraqi or a Nigerian, or Somali, or Ethiopian or Indian can come here and be successful if we were such a racist country? The "keeping it real" "thug culture" that permeates such a large percentage of the urban communities is what's holding them back. In them when a black child tries to do well he's bullied and told he's "acting white". There's more but it'll be for another day.

Bullshit. Sharpton and Jesse make a living out of keeping race relations in the gutter, on exploiting hurting families, in fanning the flames instead of putting them out. If they spent half the energy they do on that on pushing education and work, maybe they could help instead of make things worse. It's the racist bigotry of low expectations that would let you think they can't help but act on pent up rage, that they can't control themselves. The truth is that none of those looting and burning give a flip about Mike Brown. It's an excuse to steal and commit mayhem.

You hit a cop or don't listen to an order to get on the ground, you're going to get shot. What is allowable police use of force is so loose (reasonable officer standard (instead of the reasonable man standard) presumption of good faith, Graham vs Connor, Tennessee vs Garner etc) that it's no surprise, if fact anyone that has any knowledge of the law knew the officer was going to be no billed. This is the case that should have gotten the attention this case has as it was also ruled to be justified with everything caught on video. There's just no Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson to agitate and manufacture outrage for non blacks.

The democrats spent millions of dollars and sent people who worked the b o campaign here to Texas to try and "turn Texas blue". They failed absolutely hilarious fashion. They did worse than they did in the last election, with no democrat running for statewide office getting more than 39% of the vote.

It's their radical religious beliefs that cause them to abandon their upbringing and go to the Middle East to fight. Culture has little to do with it. Radical imams and clerics in the West need to be disappeared.

Here's an interesting story I found saying Egypt offered to give up territory to form a Palestinian state but Abbas rejected it. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/egypts-sisi-offered-abbas-creation-palestinian-state-sinai-peninsula-1464436 The source is suspect (Israeli radio) but as a launching pad for discussion it's intriguing (to me at least).

(It's been a crazy week, between visiting relatives, my father not doing well, my children, and hungry animals at our property I didn't have time to post online) I won't watch that video, but I read the killer has a British accent. All these foreign members are going to bring IS back to their home countries. I don't think this country will do anything substantive again until we have a Beslan style attack perpetrated by people coming here from through our wide open Southern border. As far as the Ferguson thing goes, the police officer has a crushed eye socket from the pummeling he received and Brown's friend admits now that the officer started shooting when Brown turned around and "bum rushed" him. (Bum rush is a colloquial term for ran at him). I'd rather focus on the unacceptable police reactions towards the media and demonstrators rather than a shooting that is going to be found to be justifiable. I'll never understand why they resort to looting and burning down businesses. Since someone questioned why he was shot so many times, the answer to that is that modern handgun training is to shoot until the [perceived] threat is stopped.

: It was a different time. The Japanese made IS look like saints. They believed anyone that was not Japanese was a subhuman savage. With this belief they killed, raped and tortured without mercy. China suffered imaginable horror. Look up "The Rape of Nanking". Do a bit of research on Unit 731 and you'll understand what a war crime truly is. It's estimated 300,000 were killed in the blasts and aftereffects of radiation. Do you know what estimates were from a land invasion? 5,000,000 dead Japanese is the conservative estimate and 1,700,000 American casualties (400,000 dead). To this day when an American soldier is injured or killed in combat, the Purple Heart he/she is awarded comes from stock made for the invasion of Japan. So after conflicts in Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan we still haven't had the numbers hurt or killed that an invasion of Japan would have incurred. 300,000 against 5,400,000 or 10,800,000 there's no rational argument the correct call was not made. (Some say Japan was looking for a conditional surrender already, to that I say the only surrender acceptable was unconditional.) You mentioned that Lebanese soldiers fought of terrorists without hurting civilians. That's wonderful (our police are just as likely to kill us to save themselves...), but the difference is that your soldiers were protecting your fellow citizens. I don't think its reasonable to think the Israelis would take the same efforts protect Palestinian lives.

That footage is from 1994, long before 9/11/2001, WMD claims et al. If we want to be technical, the war never ended. It was under a cease fire agreement. Iraq started shooting at aircraft in the no fly zone and things progressed from there. (Not trying to be trite, but we all know the timeline) US arms > Russian arms so I don't see why that's an issue. The US was going to get the bases whether or not Saddam was there. That came as a part of ousting Iraq from Kuwait. Like the rest of the countries we have bases in, they get protection from their enemies paid by the American tax payer and get to spend their money on Ferraris (or social services in the case of Europe). I trust US construction standards, but I would also believe that also came as reward for removing Iraq from Kuwait.

Look at their maps. They want all of Northern Africa and the Middle East within five years. Money and equipment won't help. Even Iraqi commandos gave up and surrendered to execution rather than fight. There's video on liveleak you don't want to see of a captured Lebanese soldier being killed.
