I don't see how you think this can be a bad signing. Huntlaer is one of the most chased after players in the world at the moment, Hence why he is being linked with Man United, Arsenal and Us. Pizarro will probably go on loan or be sold. People are saying Shevchenko is ok on a preseason game against the Seattle Sounders. That would leave us with Sturridge, Anelka, Drogba and Klass Jan. Sturridge and Anelka can play backup left and right wing aswell as Back up strikers. Di Santo should go out on loan because he isn't good enough to play for us yet.

Think we have a great mixture of players atm, With Lampard, Ballack, Drogba and Niko all in there 30s, But with good young players like Sturridge, Hutchsion, Di Santo and Sinclair bound to be getting a few games this season, With the players inbetween like Essien, JT, Malouda, Zhirkov etc Hoping to see a Zhirkov - Lampard - Essien - Deco combination against Inter with Di Santo and Drogba up front.

You can't judge Deco on a preseason game, We'll see how he does in the Premiership.

We should really have more discussions on this forum rather than posting news, So what formation should we play next season? 4-5-1/4-3-3 Our formation for nearly all of last year, Our strongest team had the suspect back 4, Essien, Lampard, Ballack in midfield with Malouda, Drogba/Anelka and J.Cole up front. Worked well under Hiddink but not so well under Scolari. 4-4-2 The formation that nearly everyone wanted under Scolari, again the suspect back four and with Essien and Lampard in midfield it could work. Joey and Malouda/Zhirkov on the two wings would be lethal, and Drogba and New signing/Anelka/ upfront could work well. Bad points are that quality players like Mikel won't be playing and it will upset the ego if Ballack isn't. Also it could lack creativty.

Agree with Esk, Will be very intresting with formation.

If he was going to be loaned it should have been to another English team, To get him used to the English style of play.

I'd like to see a Drogba/Di Santo strikeforce, see how it works. Also Cork to start, He was excellent for Watford last season.
