Im suprised Mikels getting so much praise from everyone. He played ok but was nothing special. I actually think Romeu looked much better when he came on.

Dont think Torres will ever prove to be worth 50 mil as hes lost way too much pace and he'll never get that back. If you dont believe me just watch videos of him playing a few years ago, he was unbelievably fast and sharp. Now hes quite sluggish and although he's quite fast hes not half as fast as he used to be. However i do still think he'll score a lot of goals for us eventually. Just not enough to justify 50 million considering suarez only cost 24.

However Xavi passes the ball forward and takes more risks.

I think its because both drogba and anelka aren't good enough anymore, lukakus too young and inexperienced atm and therefore isn't getting a game, and torres has just been unlucky and is no longer the player he was

However Fabregas is injury prone and offers much more to the game than lampard in terms of his general play.

I think most chelsea fans would admit that most of lampards performances over the past 2 years havent been good enough. Lampard was my favourite player 4 or 5 years ago but its time to accept he just isnt good enough anymore. We need a creative player who can produce a bit of magic when we need it and Lampard doesnt offer that anymore.

Every manager we've had since since we bought kalou has consistently played him way more than he deserved to. At least Villas-Boas has realised how bad he is and has hardly played him this season and favored sturridge instead. Also Kalou will probably never play for us again, so it could be a blessing in disguise. On another note just because Lampard played well last night it doesnt make up for the past 2 years of mediocrity. I'd still much rather see Raul meireles in the starting line up.
