What he's doing is very clever; by saying we won't sign anyone, he gets the media attention rather than his players. Its somethign Mourinho did as well.

Good draw for us though. Means we can play a few of the youngsters, but we can't afford to be complacent. Probably be a 2-0 win; comfortable in the end but we can't assume we're automatically going to win, we did that against Southend and Burnley last season and we all know how that panned out.

Drogba gets my vote; he's been brilliant in 2009, especially since Hiddink took over. 28 goals over the course of the year so far and plenty of time to increase that tally.

There's been more speculation about us signing Aguero next month, its all over the newspapers at the moment. It would be fantastic if we could pull it off; what an attack we'd have! I'm imaging other clubs are hoping we don't sign him in a bed we don't get any better! Its certainly a very exciting time for Chelsea supporters at the minute.

Back to the topic, I think Carlo's just trying to live down all the speculation. With the possibility of the club going 18 months without being able to register new players, not only can I see us giving as many youngsters as possible shirt numbers, but I can see one or two big name signings being made on a pre-contract basis, ie. players joining next summer on a pre-established agreement. It would be even nicer if we could pull someone like Ribery in during January.

I understand why you are annoyed TX, but I merged the two Kakuta threads as they contained content of a very similar nature, ie. talking about Kakuta's début and just the player in general.
