  1. No one was wondering Absolute must win after the draw at home. Don't think it's be as easy as everyone is making it out to be, complacency can hurt us a lot. I expect an overdue start for Danny if he is fit and Lamps will most definitely start. I'd like to see Bertrand at LB and a rest for Cole. Some minutes for Marin would be great as well.
  2. I just love this pic Steve uploaded
  3. Yes but naturally everyone is highlighting our dives. Pullis' comments last week didn't help at all.
  4. Except it was totally needless in this case and we could have ended up with a goal had he put in a decent old-fashioned low and hard cross.
  5. I think they meant how many times he was dispossessed and not how many stray passes or crosses he had.
  6. I meant it is irrelevant to how we are perceived by other fans, the media, and consequently the referees in our upcoming matches because in the eyes of everyone else, it was a dive.
  7. Well his 'fall' happened to occur when he lost the ball in the pen area. Whether he meant to dive or not is, in this case, irrelevant, because he was perceived by the ref and match spectators to have dived.
  8. I thought he was crucial to the balance of the side yesterday. Certainly made up for Mata's lack of defensive ability.
  9. Luiz at the start of the second half. Torres, although he did not dive, but why the hell did he put his hand in the air pleading for a pen when he clearly missed his kick? Absolutely spot on.
  10. It's hard to complain when you win a derby away from home, but I will say I thought it wasn't our best performance this season. The Oscar, Mata, Hazard combination may have worked yesterday (in terms of the result at least) but our lack of width was alarming. Cole was MOTM for me for an absolutely flawless performance. Pete saved our 3 points with two top shelf saves. Mata brilliant again, Hazard marked out of the match again (that's maybe a bit harsh to say that he was out of the game, but his influence was hugely reduced; he needs to take on players more often imho). Oscar was crucial for the balance of the team, his defensive work was excellent ( I stand corrected about his defensive abilities). Mata continued his stunning form and Torres had a great game (bar that one-on-one with the keeper) especially in terms of his hold-up play; his best match in blue. On a side note, we really need to stop diving, it's getting fucking embarrassing!
  11. Voted Hughton but I have a feeling Laudrup will not end the season employed.
  12. Napoli got a 1-0 win from a pen that should never have been. Wonder if the Napoli fans will be around soon to say how Juve only win by cheating?
  13. I wish Roy would call Rio back, I'd pay anything to see that idiot embarrass himself on the international stage.
  14. Congrats Term on winning the tittle. The losses against X-rated and Super Villains ended my hopes. On the bright side I get to play some youngsters in the final two matches.
  15. Call me crazy but he was my MOTM yesterday. Absolute flawless performance as he often does vs Arsenal. His tweets are legendary
  16. Any news on the knock he picked up yesterday?
  17. I love Sony. I actually wanted to get this phone but somehow the guy at the store convinced me to get the HTC One x which isn't half bad.
  18. @, apology not accepted; the only way to be forgiven is to jump in circles around a Kalou statue on one leg while flapping your arms and screaming "Bosingwa is the best Left Back in history" in traditional Chinese. Go.
  19. The thing is, it's totally fine if they were arguing with reasons, examples and stats, but the discussions seem to be like: 1) A>>>>B 2) Are you retarded? B is much better than A. 1) You are deluded. A is class, B is overrated. Back on topic, I think this match will be much harder for us because it is the first real test for our players and Arsenal will be full of confidence after their draw with shitty. A win would be vital, though unlikely imho.
  20. Would everyone just cut the crap, I've literally had to delete 2 pages of meaningless or off-topic posts. Any further thread derailment will not be tolerated and will result in warnings and suspensions. Well we can set the rules and try to see them through, but we can't, unfortunately, force people to make intelligent posts.
  21. And we beat those teams and won the CL last year because we were realistic and did not underestimate our opponents. We knew that we were second favorite in most of our matches and that is why we won. Still think this match will be easy? Here's an interesting stat for you: Chelsea last beat Arsenal in a league match without Didier Drogba in September 1995
  22. Happy birthday Jim. Have a great day mate
