^^ Nice people..

Agree with that one. If Terry were fit, neither should be near the starting XI atm.

We can play more than 11 players in a season.. You can't field three attacking midfielders without a proper DM unless you are desperate. It is suicide. Mikel should only be rotated with Romeu imo.

That is an overstatement to say the least. Just check our last match thread to see the criticism that Garry has received. I think he has been average this season; had a couple of great performances like Tottenham and a couple bad performances like Manu and WBA. He's also popped up with some important goals and an assist. It's a bit harsh saying that people defend Cahill beyond reason especially after defending Luiz when he has had some inexcusable performances the past month.

We can do a straight swap, Torres for Matri right now. That's how much we've had it with Torres.

Ahmed, JuveJay and Foeller from Juventuz.org were kind enough to answer a few questions regarding our very important Champions League encounter with Juventus Tuesday night. Let’s start with an easy one: How long have you supported Juventus and why? Ahmed-95/96, fell in love with the blue and yellow jersey, had no idea what the club was and who the players were but it was love at first sight. JuveJay-My family are Juventini, so basically since I was old enough to understand. Foeller -Juve has been my favorite team since around '00, but it wasn't until '05 that I started to follow them actively. Basically I became a fan because of Del Piero. I got a Del Piero shirt as a birthday present before I had even heard about him, and that was when I started to become a fan. You have, as expected, made a great start to the season in the Serie A and are sitting comfortably at the top of the table, how confident are you of retaining the title? Ahmed-100 percent confident, it is our Scudetto to lose. JuveJay-Quite confident, although we are having issues playing in both competitions, as it is a new experience for this team. Foeller - I'm pretty confident. We are definitely huge favorites and even with the loss against Inter I still believe that we are going to win the title. We have to $#@! up big time to lose the title. Does everyone’s expectations of you to win the Scudetto add pressure or confidence to the team? Ahmed-I would say adds pressure as we are now expected to win and win convincingly. JuveJay-A bit of both, everyone is trying to knock us off the top. Foeller -Of course it does. It was definitely an advantage last year that we came out of nowhere. Now there's a lot more pressure, but I don't think it's too much pressure for us to handle. How has the team been affected by Conte’s absence from the touchline? Ahmed-The results may not reflect but yes, his presence is a great morale booster and an important reference point, and the players have admitted to that. JuveJay- In terms of results, difficult to say it has. But he adds something when he is there, he's a very intense man. Foeller - I think our team has lacked an extra boost of motivation when we were in trouble on the pitch, but the players are professionals, they are managing fine without him. Our results have been as good as we could hope for in the Serie A. You have recently lost you unbeaten run in the league to Inter, was that demoralizing or is there a renewed vigor about the team after the defeat? Ahmed-Renewed vigor, it has taken the additional pressure of the 'unbeaten streak' off the team's back. JuveJay-It was both demoralising and invigorating, no one likes to lose to Inter, and you can see that response in the players. Foeller -At first I thought it would be demoralizing, but in the end I guess it really turned out the other way. At least we managed to score 10 goals in the two games after. What did you make of Chelsea’s Champions League conquest last season? Ahmed-Very fortuitous, but I guess it was karma as they had had their share of misfortune of the past few years in CL. JuveJay- Tactical, clinical, and with the luck required to win it. Foeller -I think Chelsea has the necessary luck to go all the way, but that doesn't take anything away from the tactical brilliance of that campaign. Furthermore, I liked the fairytale story about your Champions League run. Our previous meeting was a very tight affair; it really could have gone either way. Did you find the result fair and do you expect a similar match this time around? Ahmed-Juve were the better team on the night, and should have won the game if they had been more clinical in the first half. JuveJay- I thought the result was fair considering we were 2-0 down, but we seemed to be the better team until Chelsea struck with two blows from nowhere. Foeller - The outcome of the first match was definitely fair. I don't expect this game to be the same at all since the group stage is almost over and now Chelsea will be more than happy with a draw. I expect this game to be much more tactical than the first one which was basically a very well played football game. Chelsea can afford to draw this match while Juve probably have to win in order to qualify to the last 16 round. How do you think that will affect the match? Ahmed-Juve always stands up to be counted in the big games and when all is on the line, it should bring out the best in us. JuveJay- Di Matteo will most likely set the team up the same way he did for many of the big games last season, which I suppose is a worry. Foeller -Well, I mentioned this a little bit in my previous answer, but I think that will mean that Chelsea will approach the game a bit more defensively that they otherwise would have. At the same time I think Juventus will be motivated as never before. I expect them to play like it's the last game of their life, basically. Who has been your best player this season, and who should we look out for? Ahmed-Arturo Vidal has been sensational and been scoring goals for fun, you'll need to try to keep him quiet. JuveJay- Bonucci, Marchisio and Pirlo have been amongst the best, but watch out for Quagliarella and Vidal (again). Foeller - I think Marchisio has been our best player so far, but what you should be afraid of is our midfield trio. Pirlo, Marchisio and Vidal are most likely going to be the key to winning this game for us. If you can pick one Chelsea player to play for Juve, who would it be? Ahmed-Fernando Torres. JuveJay-Tough to see better for our formation, Torres might seem obvious given our strikers, but if we were to play a back four then Juan Mata, Eden Hazard or Ashley Cole would be obvious choices. Foeller -. Even though we desperately need a striker, I think Torres is too much of a choker, and I've not been impressed by Sturridge. We also need a left wingback, but I personally don't like Ashley Cole too much. I guess that would mean I would go with either Mata or Hazard. What is the likely formation and line-up that Mr. Conte will put out on tomorrow? Ahmed-should be the same team that played in London, with Quagliarella starting ahead of Vucinic who is down with illness. Isla may start ahead of Lichsteiner at RWB. JuveJay-3-5-2, almost certain. Foeller -We are definitely playing 3-5-2 just like the last game. I expect this to be the line-up: Buffon Barzagli - Bonucci - Chiellini Lichtsteiner - Vidal - Pirlo - Marchisio - Asamoah Giovinco - Vucinic However, it is possible that Isla will be play instead of Lichtsteiner and that Quagliarella will play instead of Vucinic. 12. Finally, predict the result. Ahmed- Juventus 2 - 0 Chelsea. JuveJay- 2-1 (heart), 1-1 (head). Foeller - Juventus is going to win 1-0. Click here to view the article

I'm watching you two.

Oops, my bad. I actually knew that, no idea why I wrote Lille though
-
Similar but not very much. Feruz relies more on his pace and can actually dribble past a man unlike Shrek. On the hand he doesn't have Rooney's tactical awareness as to when to drop off, create space, track back..etc but then again very few in the world do.
-
Did Dave play with Lille in the EL this season? If so then you have a point. My apologies.
-
I really appreciate your open-mindedness mate and there is a lot of common ground between my opinion and what you wrote above. Besides the point that LDN already made about Mahmoud, the only point I would disagree with is that you can't, imo, put as much blame on the Palestinians as on your government. I am in no way saying that they are guilt-free, in fact the Palestinian leaders are all corrupt corrupt bastards and idiots who gamble with the lives of their people and sell for cheap. But I, as human being, can't help but think why are those humans extremists which something I could never be? What happened to force these people to the extremes? And I know you probably won't like my opinion on this, but it is Zionism that drove them to the extreme. It's been an ongoing slaughter from 1948; they have been thrown out of their homes or had them bulldozed on their heads, they've been under siege and they've lost most of their land as well as their basic human rights. I am not excusing their extremism or blood lust, just saying that Israel and the west have played a major part in it. Another point is, I honestly think they stopped fighting for land a long time ago, and despite what their leaders keep on saying in a rather poetic way, all the Palestinian people want is simply to live. End the siege, allow them to have their basic rights of life and the people themselves will kick Hamas and the extremists out because everyone has had enough fighting imo. On a side note, Hamas are part of the Ikhwan, or muslim brotherhood that is mainly found in Egypt, and since their election in Egypt the US has managed to 'convince' them to take a 180 degrees turn and are now supporters of Israel. So despite them being muslim extremists, they are now what Hilarity Clinton would call "Arabic Moderation". I know that your media does their best to portray a different image but this what's happening. Tell me then, what has your army been targeting since Friday? Take yesterday for a example: ALL the attack yesterday were on civilian houses in Gaza (well to be completely fair, one was on a russian tv station) and almost all the causalities yesterday were women and children. I'm sorry to tell you this, but your army does kill civilians deliberately, and has done countless times in the past, sometimes even in front of the media's cameras like the Mohammed the little boy who was shot while he was in his father's arms which was the catalyst for the second 'intifada'. The Israeli army has in the past bombed a UN shelter were all the women and children Qana had taken shelter killing 80 of them at once, they have bulldozed homes with their inhabitants still inside them to build new settlements and they have targeted many reporters. There are records of hundreds of Palestinian CHILDREN who were killed by snipers. And there are just examples of much much more. In fact, I knew civilians who were deliberately killed by the Israeli army when they occupied parts of Lebanon. Okay beg was an exaggeration, but what I meant is that, despite the army's threats and Nataniaho's speeches, Israel is not at all benefiting from the current situation. They are clearly unable to stop the rockets, and while air-raids are just another day in Gaza, the resistance's rockets have managed to disrupt the life in many Israeli cities most significant of which is Tel Aviv which had never been bombed before. I think that the threats of a land invasion are just hot air simply because they know that the losses will not be worth it. Especially with the Cornett missiles that the Palestinians now have and that cause the Israeli army great losses in Lebanon, the cost of a land invasion will be too high and it will achieve next to nothing because the rockets will not stop. I don't think any sane man can believe Hamas can 'win the war'. The amount of funding, arming, and international support for Israel is absolutely ridiculous compared to Hamas'. Hamas and the Palestinians are fighting because they have nothing else left to do. The Palestinians will never have the power to get their land back nor will the west let them get it if they ever manage to have enough power to get it. And just for the record, the vast majority of the rockets launched on Israel are not by Hamas who after the Egyptian revolution are now in the anti-Iran axis which consequently meant that they are not being armed anymore. The rockets, in particular the Iranian rocket "Fajer 5" which is causing you all sort of problems, are being launched by the "Islamist Jihad" militia...just for factual accuracy. I apologize my wording of the statement did not make it clear. I did not mean that Hamas don't intend to kill Israelis, that is ultimately the why you launch missiles, to kill. The fighters in Gaza have as much blood lust as the Israeli army. But what I meant is that the Palestinian missiles don't need to actually kill to achieve their purpose. The moment the sirens in the targeted city sound, the launching is considered a success. That is because, as I said before, they can never dream to match Israel's fire power, instead all they try to achieve is a "Terror Balance" i.e. make you afraid of war just as much as they are. They kill you in Gaza not because they are racists but because of what Israelis have done to them in the past. It's not like Hitler who just decided that Jews should not live; it's not racism against the Jewish religion like Hitler, or skin color like in the US. In fact, throughout history the only place that Jews were not oppressed in was the Arab world. A nice historical fact to serve as evidence to that, is when Arabs were forced out of Andalusia in Spain and Portugal, the Jewish community there moved back with Arabs to north Africa in fear of Christian oppression and they remained there till the early 20th century and some are still there now. Moreover, only a century ago, Jews were peacefully living side by side next to Muslims and Christians in none other than Palestine, as well as Lebanon and Syria and various Arab countries. So it was never about racism against Jews, it has always been about ant-Zionism. i won't get into the complicated situation of the Palestinians living in Israel but it is no surprise, it is, after all, their land.

That is turning into an absurdity recently. People don't seem talk face to face anymore. Whenever I go with my friends they just spend 90% of the time on their phones. It's like I have to use whatsapp to talk to them when they're sitting right in front of me..

The thing is, the Israelis have really underestimated how much the resistance has strengthened in the past 4 years and they have got themselves in trouble. The aim of the attack was to wipe out rocket launching sites to decrease the resistance's ability to threaten their cities. They did so in the first day of the attack, except the sites turned out to be fake, which made their attack completely pointless. The resistance in the last four years has apparently acquired Iranian "Fajir 5" rockets which have a range up to 100 Km, "Cornett" anti-tank missiles and some sort of anti-air missiles which they have used to take down a couple of Appatchis all without the knowledge of the Israelis. They basically doing exactly what Hezboullah did in 2006 in much smaller scale due to their limited abilities. The missiles on Tel Aviv are of huge significance and have never happened before. Some military sources trying to call the iron dome a success because it has intercepted most of the missiles but they intentionally miss two points the first is that those 'interceptions' has cost till now 200 million dollars while the rockets being launched probably cost less than 1% of that. Second, the rockets are not meant to actually destroy anything or even kill anyone for that matter. The moment the sirens sound in Tel Aviv and hundreds of thousands of people run to the shelters, the rockets have accomplished their desired job. So now, Israel have on their hand a resistance that is stronger and more threatening than ever and no way of stopping it. They have run out of target from day one and are now literally randomly targeting civilian buildings which in turn is raising global awareness against their crimes. But at the same time they can't stop because "Israel never loses in wars". All they can do now is beg the Egyptians to convince Hamas of a truce and make it look like they achieved their targets.

Couldn't have said it better my self. The funny thing about nightclubs is that they are supposed to be about socializing, but how in the world are you supposed to do that when you can't talk to anybody over the sound of the....can't get myself to call it music.

Well that really depends on your personality. I personally like my butt numb and on a chair all day while my brain solves problems that require mathematical analysis.

Bremen tried it a month or so ago and it didn't work. He is a central midfielder, and a good one at that; no need what so ever for the nonsense of playing him on the wing or as a false 9.

Speaking of media language, ever notice that Israelis are always 'killed' by the rockets while Palestinians just 'die' in Gazza...
