think its funny that Torres played the same as Drogba today and he was on the bench... now that drogba is getting older and we need him for the big games, why are we still playing him for 90 when he was no need to play any minutes at all...

aside from his steps back, torres has had more games looking better than DD... maybe not consistant, but the team wasnt consistant...

i can think of many matches where torres tore up the opposition, sunderland, swansea, man utd, valencia, genk, just to name a few, and with all the new signings and tactics, it was going to take awhile before everyone settled in, even when drogba was our CF some games it looked TERRIBLE (and dont say otherwise)... now we have mata getting more and more used to the system and danny making those blistering runs, along with now our mostly settled starters in midfield that el nino never had then when everyone was trying to settle... i still remember torres having like 15 minutes against newcastle and having an assist and could of had a goal if danny would pass which he only seems to do when didier is in... i just dont get it... has he performed like we all dreamt? no... is he done for this club yet? no...

with all the havoc torres caused last meeting, he needs to start this match, or be given SUBSTANTIAL minutes

mark my words, when danny is able to look up and make a great pass, like he shouldve to drogba and torres after making a great run; thats when danny will be one of the greats, messi like (i know thats a stretch) but he has a great shot and if he can become a TEAM player, why not? with him and mata making clever runs and passing, that is just eye candy for our two forwards... and very helpful being that both of them are a bit out of form to say the lest... hope they work on this in practice... tired of seeing drogba stop making his run and walk, when danny has the ball in the box, and torres to make a run slightly like the old and not get any notice... we can be GREAT, thats just my one bit of criticism, but it is small... go blues

Being a HUGE Torres supporter, I feel that maybe it is necessary for him to be on the bench for a bit, forces him to WANT to play more and make a difference rather than having things handed to him... He'll come good, you can see it... Deserves more minutes though But I feel pretty soon he'll be our #1striker for the long run... Go blues!

this may be dumb but how about we run a five DB formation 5-3-2 cole-terry-luiz-alex-ivan danny---lamps----mata ----drogba----torres---- reasons for this... and hear me out... 1. luiz can finally advance down the field without sacrificing our back line, and he can come back and play defender which is good for our back line.. 2. gives danny more room to advance up and play whatever he wants to do 3. give that torres drogba a go... i think its time for AVB to TRY it... lukaku just doesnt have the pace for that thats why it didnt work against, liverpool... 4. make torres and drogba work together cause they both want to start, so it would be smart for them to WANT to work together to be that striking duo that everyone DREAMED of...

ok, AVB needs to sit down with the team and (as much as you guys are going to hate this) call torres their #1 striker and the one for the future... the games he has played in (other than yesterday which is a totally different story) had all been really good team wise, he gets everyone involved and is only lacking that final ball... thats what torres thrived in at liverpool, and all the final balls hes been played have all been goals, man utd. swansea, genk... all beautiful passes... and not only that, torres has set up some amazing ones as well, like when he is charging up midfield and curving a pass in between defenders 30 yards out... brilliant... he needs to stay up front and poach like the good ol days, its not that hes not trying... just not trying in what made torres, EL NINO... believe me, he isnt done.. and you all can see glimpses of it every game, even a bad one... 100% behind him... he is chelsea's #9...
