  1. Sooner play these, than anti-football Simeone. Last half hour of that tie against Utd the ball was actually in play 11 minutes. Who can watch that kind of crap? They'll make Citeh work that's for sure. Just hope the fans are back for the game.
  2. What's this Ken Griffin like? I'd sooner have an American owner than a Saudi one, lesser of two evils. Depends what they want the club for, it's good he owns a sports team already, in that they should realise that investing in the club brings its rewards both on and off the pitch. Something the Glazer family haven't quite fully grasped. When I say invest I don't just mean money. You need the correct personnel in the right positions, some parts of our club lack this i.e.that ticket fiasco yesterday. So time and expertise are the things you need , money just greased the wheels
  3. Just don't understand the thinking behind it. It just attracts more hostility towards the club. If the boot was on the other foot would we do it..of course not. As far as I know we have already sold a few hundred tickets, it's not like we wont be without any support. We've just got to ride this period out, without making it more difficult than it already is.
  4. Roman is now reported to be in Moscow. The optimist in me hopes that he is there to use whatever influence he has to try and talk some sense into the current regime about the futility of this awful war. The cynic in me says he's gone there to nail his colours to Putin's mast
  5. If it's proved this Saudi Media company has no links with the political regime then I'd be more than happy for them to be considered, depending on the type of bid. They look like they've got the funds to run a premier league club. If however there are ties to the ruling class in Saudi, then I'd be very uncomfortable with it. Yemen is a terrible situation and there is blood on the hands of those in charge. It's time football clubs in England were safe guarded from any unscrupulous owners. It calls for government legislation as the FA has shown they clearly aren't up to it.
  6. Where is Nick Candy getting his money from to finance any deal for the club. Yes he's a very rich man but he wont use that. Any time I hear the word consortium I cringe, i immediately think of Del Boy and his pals. I've never heard of a consortium successfully running a football club. To me that leaves one option, leverage against the club value. Ie: Glazers at United. Hicks Gillett at Liverpool. Both of these are disasters, Blazers were lucky in that they invested in a well run club with a great manager, now that's all gone they've turned it into a soap opera. Liverpool were hours from going under due to those two carpet baggers. I know a quick sale is in the best interest of the club, but we have to be very careful in who gets our club. I'd sooner wait for the right ones, however long it takes. Yes we may lose players, manager even. But they come and go anyway, Chelsea football club must continue.
  7. The sale of the club to an owner who is a responsible custodian is of course a worry. We won't get another owner like Roman who used his own money to develop the club. However my major concern is the situation with cash flow at the club at this present time. It's okay for the government to spout the usual rhetoric about cultural asset..blah blah. But people and businesses who serve the club need to be paid, also policing costs, travel. I'm not an expert on the legalities on how the money the club generates is going to be released for day to day running. I've read many pieces on the subject but most are very ambiguous with no real definite standpoint
  8. Hi, more of a reader than a poster, just hoping do my little bit for the cause
