  1. Now local Sevilla journo is trying to blame us lol.
  2. Barca can activate the 3rd lever then🥴
  3. Their FB and DM are still the weakest area.
  4. I say Leipzig will sell him around €70m - €80m.
  5. My gut feeling is we won't sign any wingbacks because of several reasons: 1. We have Livramento buy-back next year. 2. Tuchel could consider using Sterling or Kounde for 1 year until we sign Livramento. 3. Still struggling to offload both Emerson and Alonso.
  6. The problem is not many clubs can afford his wage+transfer fee, or else we already sold him by now.
  7. Chelsea have a clear run to complete their £55m deal for Sevilla's Jules Kounde after Barcelona switched to other targets. The Catalan giants have been priced out of the race by the Blues and have now begun work to sign Inigo Martinez from Athletic Club instead. It leaves the new Boehly-Clearlake owners needing to just agree a fee with the La Liga outfit for Kounde, and they are close to doing so having matched their valuation with remaining negotiations focusing on the structure of add-on clauses. With the 23-year-old France international having already agreed a five-year deal with Chelsea until 2027, these talks will be the final hurdle to complete the transfer. When the deal is done, Chelsea will have completed three out of a requested five major transfers this summer. Thomas Tuchel has told sporting director Todd Boehly that he needs major reinforcements to his defence and wants to add Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe next. There are concerns about his desire to leave his boyhood club even after Thiago Silva and N'Golo Kante attempted to talk him around. The Blues could switch their attention to RB Leipzig's Josko Gvardiol if that approach fails but his club are reluctant to sell and the deal would be further complicated by the structure of agents around the Croatian. The signing of Kounde could allow Cesar Azpilicueta to finally leave for Barcelona, something he has repeatedly requested. The Spaniard is keen to make the switch and sign a two-year contract at the Camp Nou. The sale of Azpilicueta would allow Tuchel to consider venturing into the market for wing-backs towards the end of the transfer window.
  8. Jules Kounde is set to become Chelsea’s third summer signing in a deal that could allow captain Cesar Azpilicueta to join Barcelona. Chelsea look to have beaten off competition from Barca for Kounde. They have agreed to pay Sevilla in the region of £55 million and have offered the defender a five-year contract. Having signed Raheem Sterling in a deal worth £50m and Kalidou Koulibaly for £34m, Chelsea’s new owners have now already committed £139m to new signings since taking over the club with more deals to follow. Barcelona president Joan Laporta appeared to concede defeat in the race to sign Kounde by telling a supporter in Las Vegas that the 23-year-old will move to Chelsea. The signing of Kounde will bring to an end a year-long pursuit of the player for Chelsea, who almost signed him last summer before Sevilla moved the goalposts on the transfer fee. Kounde had appeared to have slipped down the pecking order of Chelsea targets this year until Matthijs de Ligt preferred a move to Bayern Munich and Nathan Ake decided to stay at Manchester City. The arrival of Kounde will further strengthen the defensive options of head coach Thomas Tuchel, who has already signed Koulibaly from Napoli this summer. Koulibaly is in line to make his first Chelsea appearance in the club’s final game of their US tour against Arsenal in Orlando in the early hours of Sunday morning. Kounde can play on the right of a back three or at right wing-back, which will give Tuchel the option of also swapping Reece James between those two positions. Tuchel is still ideally hoping to sign a third defender this summer, with Paris St-Germain’s Presnel Kimpembe a target, and Kounde’s move could give Azpilicueta the green light to return to Spain with Barcelona. Azpilicueta is keen to leave Chelsea this summer, with Barca willing to give him a two-year contract. Tuchel and Chelsea had told the 32-year-old that he must wait to find out if the club could land their targets before making a firm decision on his future. Azpilicueta did not feature in Chelsea’s last friendly against Charlotte FC, despite making the trip to the US, and has not spoken on his future during the club’s tour. Other than trying to add another defender to his squad, Tuchel will reassess his forward options after missing out to Barcelona on Raphinha.
  9. Ronaldo would be willing to lower his wage to sign with Atletico, the player wants to return to Madrid.
  10. Icardi was one of the reason why Tuchel fell out with Leonardo at PSG lol.
