  1. Injury problems. Not a striker. Came off the bench lots. That explains that. Wasn't starting week in week out like Alonso did last season.
  2. There's more proof that they're friends than there isn't, hence your theory doesn't really hold as much as the theory that Mourinho and Perez are friends.
  3. It's only fair Arsene sells to us, we sold him Cech.
  4. One of my dream signings, is it actually gonna happen?
  5. That's most likely incorrect, Jose still has a good relationship with Real's president. The DDG theory holds up more.
  6. It's official. Prove me wrong Álvaro!
  7. http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2017/07/morata-is-a-blue.html
  8. Osgood, Hughes, Vialli, JFH say otherwise.
  9. I agree with this. My problem however is - if you watch the video of that interview, she tries to insinuate that Romelu is a dumb footballer and doesn't have that intelligence. I'm disputing it - he has smart aspects to his play, especially in the box.
  10. I think Lukaku is in between (using your theory) like Costa as well personally. If you get Romelu into the box for example - he's an absolute killer and will finish off chances. His "IQ" in the box is one of the reasons why he scores a lot. You could say that Romelu is more intelligent in the box than Morata, whereas it's the other way for Alvaro for example. Would that be a false statement? The term is too broad imo. There are areas on the pitch Romelu is smarter in than Morata too.
  11. Would you say Romelu's ability to read the game is poor?
  12. Elaborate? What is football IQ? Why is his bad? How does Lukaku lack that IQ? How does he have two of the top teams in the PL vying for him if he lacks football IQ? It's a lazy argument imo.
  13. Please. Sandro would be a top top signing. Morata would feed well off his crosses, he'd link up incredibly well with Eden, Cesc/Baka. Would really up the level of the first XI.
  14. Was going to say the same. She thinks Lukaku is dumb or something. Bloke can speak like 4 languages fluently.
  15. We need a wide forward that can fill in at CF. Sanchez would be perfect.
  16. Right. So first thing's first - happy to end our striker hunt. Secondly, as some of you know I don't rate the guy as highly but I'll keep my mind open as always. Thirdly, my main problem was the outrageous fees that were coming out - the 70/80m's. But we've apparently got him at £58m (initial) which isn't bad at all. It'll be great to have a striker who's known for his reliable link up play, but I hope Morata is ready for the Chelsea challenge. This is the first club where he'll be the undisputed number one striker, so he has some pressure. For £58m, he's a better buy than Lukaku at £75m for sure. Almost £20m less! A lot less pressure. The move feels good. Well done to the board who managed to negotiate this fee. Low key hoping that Conte's new contract enforced this and maybe another big signing (Alex Sandro ).
  17. I know his cousin. Went to university with him. Decent talent, cm in the Wilshere mould. Won't make it at Chelsea though so good move for him.
  18. I'd be happy with him. Looks an interesting talent.
  19. Matic + 25m. Fair deal for everyone.
  20. For sure - I'm just saying that if we're signing in a position for big money, you'd look at the younger player and think that the investment might be more justified. I'm aware of Auba's merits and he'd be a good signing, just that Belotti being younger can be seen as a positive if we were to make a huge investment in him.
  21. Good argument. Just FYI - I'm actually not against signing Auba, of course it would be a nice signing, however, in my opinion, if you're going to make a huge investment, getting someone who's younger is something you'd have to look at.
  22. My argument is if we're going to spend big on a striker - let it be one that'll potentially be at the club for more than 5 years.
