  1. Shocked?! I'm actually shocked that Mourinho gave him that many chances.
  2. Mourinho WILL sub him in for Willian today in the second half. Can be the last game he carries the Chelsea flag. Unless he uses this last chance very wisely.
  3. Let's wait and see what happens in the transfer window. What Mourinho wants - or wanted - from him remains a mystery.
  4. Willian is a much better all-around player. Very reliable defensively, and has a lot of potential to improve offensively. Very quick. Syncs with the team. Schurrle is unpredictable. Awesome at the World Cup (if it were based on actual benefit to his respective team, I would award him best player of the tournament: made an impact on EVERY game he came into, and assisted the goal that won the tournament). But then completely failed to impress at Chelsea. Zero. Salah is a mystery, with not enough playtime to judge. Brings a lot of flare when on the pitch, but not sure what that means in terms of emmm, future potential maybe? I would sell Schurrle while I still can, loan Salah and see how he matures in a year or tow, keep Willian, and buy an experienced winger.
  5. Courtois Ivanovic Cahill Terry Azpi Matic Cesc Salah Oscar Hazard Remy
  6. Couldn't have said it better. Give him a chance or sell him.
  7. Unless there's something I am missing, not giving Salah a chance next game would absolutely not make any sense. None of Salah's performances was even near as bad as Schurrle's in his past four appearances.
  8. Would be interesting if we get drawn against Basel in the next round of the CL. A scenario under which Mou is likely to start with Mo. Will then be likely for Salah to score the winner against the stubborn Swiss. Can be the breakthrough that he's looking for, but that's not happening till February. If it happens. Remember this post two months from now....
  9. I think Salah has another problem that no one here is paying attention to: Its called "communication". Mourinho -and all good managers in general- like to have linguistic linkages on their team. Adds natural harmony and understanding. (Azpi/Fabregas/Costa) (Willian/Felipe/Ramires/Oscar/[Costa]) (Cahill/Terry) [extremely advantageous to have two CB's that can speak the same language!] And to a lesser extent you see it with the Serbian duo. As well as the Belgian. Where does Salah fit in all that? He does not (he barely speaks Arabic, let alone English!!!). I have no doubt in my mind that he is more skillful than Willian, Schurle, Moses and Ramires, especially when it comes to attacking creativity and positioning himself in great scoring opportunities. But he cannot do that without (a) being given a lot more playing time, a luxury Chelsea cannot afford to give right now, and, ( improves upon his linking with the rest of the team -especially Fabregas. Salah is NOT shining with Egypt either, ever since Abotreka - its legendary playmaker - retired two years ago. There IS a better Abotreka in Chelsea: his name is Fabregas. He's the only one who can give Salah a lifeline at Chelsea, and show what he's capable of.
  10. Forget Salah, let's focus on what matters: winning the double this year. Salah will find a home that's better suited for him.
  11. Cannot agree more. We are not even 15% into the season, in terms of (potential) total number of games.
  12. He needs to bulk up. He needs to work on his final touch. And he specifically needs to score when given his next 7 or 8 minutes of playtime. His speed is outrageous. He puts himself in amazing scroring positions. But he needs to translate that into a reflection on the team's overall result. Period.
  13. Courtious Ivanovic--Cahil--Terry--Fellipe Matic--Fabregas Willian--Oscar--Hazard Costa Czech, Zouma, Azpi, Mikel, Salah, Remy
  14. Beause he is not good at putting himself in scroing positions. That is why.
