It's not his style of play, he won't base on strenght attributes in future. He commited 14 fouls (!!) in 39 matches (0 fouls in 5 CL games) last season and received 1 yellow card... He's more Hummels than Pepe, Christensen is one of the most elegant defenders atm, probably never will be Hercules.

I can add, Eberl (sporting director of Borussia) asked on twitter about Christensen a few days ago said that CFC and BMG are in good touch and German club definitely has a chance to sign him on permanent deal.

Bild says that agreement between BMG and CFC is closer and closer. German club give 18M€, but Chelsea want 22M€, probably transfer fee will be 20M€ and contract will have a buy-back clause.

Christensen became a Borussia player of October.

He was definitely the best Borussia player today, maybe even on the pitch.

But he played next to Marvin Schulz (20 year old DM from 2nd team) and Roel Brouwers (pensioner), it couldn't look good. Christensen got a serious partner (Dominguez) and immediately he started to play better. And Andreas is only 19, I know he'll make mistakes but I like his confidence and style of play. I see in him a huge potential. Kramer also came as no-name and two years later he played in WC final. Hope Christensen history will be similar.

Definitely one of the best Gladbach players in last 10 days (4 matches). Today performance from him was class.

Paradoxically, defence is the worst Gladbach's formation (only 27 goals conceded in league last season) because we have only one nominal left-back and two players who can play there (but it's not their basic position) - one of them is a Dominguez (CB), rest players for CB: Stranzl (awesome defender, but old and often injured), Elvedi and Brouwers (I'm sure Andreas isn't worse than them). Also Dane can play as DM and Borussia have only three player for this position. So I think he won't be a permanent member of first squad but should get plenty of minutes.

Probably it's 25 millions euro. Clause will be active since 2018.

What does it matter? Nobody cares him play for Waregem now. He actually play in better team and better league and it's more important. If he is COMPLETELY USELESS as CAM and very good on left-wing, how can anyone require to play him on left-wing?

LOL. Thorgan most frequently played as left-winger because he's MUCH BETTER there. He got some opportunities to play on CAM and then he was really weak and useless.
