  1. Well well well It took me 3 days to read anything about this game. Still painful as hell. But since I came on this forum before the two games and shared my thoughts and confidence I feel it is normal to come back one last time to : - congratulate Mourinho for the motivation he brought to his players - the chelsea team who deserved every bit of the qualification - the players who showed they were men and not kids - the fans who believed in it. Nothing to say about the game in detail, too much to say. I just feel we need to gain experience and gain maturity (lucas, verratti etc...). See you next year, hopefully for a re-match! and good luck for the rest of the CL. Now that you've beaten us you better win it otherwise i'll be pissed. :-)
  2. We, psg fans, are just afraid it might have been a one off. We'll see tomorrow I guess
  3. Hadn't seen his response. No comment. Believe me, PSG will also have a different approach to the game. :-) Verratti will definitely play better than in first half, and Matuidi will be ready from the start. I feel this 2nd leg will show the real level of both teams. Good luck to you
  4. Comme Mohammed, I am sure he meant in Football and not in general. Big game coming up. Psg to play with the same team as in the first leg with Lucas instead of Ibra (on the right wing) and Cavani in front. No surprise here. First team to score will make a big step in qualifying. NB: 3000 psg fans to come to Stamford Bridge tomorrow. Should be a good help for the PSG players
  5. Hey everyone, Well very weird game. Not the PSG we are used too in the first half, better in the second but still not the level we usually play at. A couple of points: there was penalty on Oscar, there was penalty on Cavani IMO / Chelsea was poor in the second half because physically they gave too much in the first half. As for PSG, I believe the 1rst half just shows that the team was not used to having a pressing like the one Chelsea did. Once the surprise passed, the team started playing like they are used to. Now for the second leg, let's be clear. No reasonable PSG fan believes the whole thing is over. That would be a dreadful mistake. But clearly the Pastore goal has put us in a better situation than a 2-1. At the Bridge, ibra will be out, but verratti was just tired and will be there. Will he or Cabaye play? That is my only interrogation. In front it will be Lucas Cavani and Lavezzi and this could reveal very damaging in counter attack for you. I truly believe it will be a different game. PSG will not play like in the first half of the first leg. The warning was clear and the team will not let it happen again. Silva will not give you another penalty and Matuidi won't need a half time to start harrassing your players. I really think it's going to be a very intense game. If Chelsea scores in the first quarter, it could turn out sour for us. If we score, then I don't see us lose 4-1.
  6. Hey everyone, Just like some of my fellow PSG fans, I wanted to check out what Chelsea fc fans thought about the game. I’m not going to talk about the 5 pages of ridiculous trashing from fans of both sides. Just wanted to point out, from my french point of view, that one or two fans don’t talk for a whole crowd, a club or a nation. So please don't go generalising. Back to the game. Clearly this game is for us the most exciting game of the season. Best opposition of the season, best coach, English team. Everything a Frenchman will love. Now I perfectly agree that the level difference between EPL and L1 is crucial to some. But to be honest considering the tactics PSG uses I am not sure this will have that much of an impact. I read somewhere that are back line, especially the wings, were weak. That is a big mistake that you could pay dearly. What you need to understand is that the PSG this year plays very much like Barcelona (not saying we’re matching them). Meaning possession, possession, possession. In that kind of tactic, wingers play 90% of the game as midfielders. When the team loses the ball, they need to rush back. Which means they need speed, which van der wiel and Jallet (will probably play on the right) have. Maxwell doesn’t, but compensates by experience and anticipation. You also need to take into account cavani and lavezzi have a huge defensive impact and can do that during a whole game. Finally, Matuidi pretty much has 4 lungs, and will support both wings when needed (see his game france vs Spain 1-1). I am not saying our wings are immensely strong, far from that, but if paris has the possession they will rarely be in a difficult defensive position. What I think is that at that level of competition, all teams can beat each other, Chelsea v. psg being the closest draw. On psg forums there is absolutely no feeling of superiority. We are definitely confident about the team, but know this is going to be a very tough game. We will not go through easily if we do. Finally one point that hasn’t been discussed and that I believe will count. PSG is a physical team with what we call “malice” (small fouls behind the ref’s back, talking a lot, etc…) with our Italian midfielders. So I believe this leg could come down to Luiz, Verratti or Motta getting sent out. It’s going to be a huge game, but I don’t foresee a lot of goals. I see 2-1 for psg at the Parc, and 1 all at the Bridge.
