Zidane is just another Mourinho without the defensive organization and tactical nous. His team is clueless both offensively and defensively. The sooner he's sacked the better for Hazard's career in Madrid which is sort of ironic on many levels. I'm hearing Mourinho to Madrid shouts. That will be from one calamity to another. Hazard joined that team at the wrong time.

The only thing good I've seen from him is his chest control and hold up play. It's really smooth and fluid. It looks even smoother than Giroud's actually. Other than that, not a whole lot yet but still very very very early days to form any sort of conclusion.

Just on another note, I can't believe I heard some boos at the end of the match. That really shocked me. What the fuck was that about? That was absolutely absurd . I just hope it was the Leicester fans booing or it was something that wasn't related to the game like the officials or something. Lampard certainly didn't deserve to hear that on his 1st game at The Bridge no matter the result.

We've seen these sort of performances before after Champions league games and this was even worse because the CL games are at least 90 mins. I don't know why some of us are so surprised. Lamps was a bit naive for not making enough changes but his hand was a bit tied. Our bench is still looking a bit light without RLC and CHO. Maybe Barkley and Willian should have started today but if you look at the players that played heavy mins against Liverpool vs the ones that played today, there aren't that many different options available right now. Maybe Emerson instead of Alonso as the former player 120 mins but Emerson was good today despite the obvious fatigue. Maybe Batshuayi instead of Giroud and Zappacosta for Azpilicueta but its only Lampard's 3rd game in charge and he needs time to learn about his players. We just need to be calm and show some perspective here. The Super Cup was a massive distraction. 120 mins in brutal heat and the physical and mental emotion of losing the PK. What I saw from the Liverpool match and the first 25 mins here is what I expect to see from the team. We just didn't have anything left in the tank to pull it off for the full match.
