  1. Also the only match where a team was actually attacking us instead of defending deep and compactly. Even in the United match they never really committed to any attack.
  2. I'm glad Lukaku is going out on loan again. He needs more experience and he wouldn't have got it sitting on our bench. This notion, that I've seen posted around these forums, that he's ready to be our first choice striker is frankly ludicrous.
  3. Give Ribery a second yellow for a disgusting dive I say.
  4. Sure just book all of our players. That seems fair.
  5. If we win this with 10 men it's going to be so sweet!
  6. Red Card aside we still should have scored 2 or 3.We've had the better chances by far.
  7. I don't ever want to see Drogba playing against us.
  8. We can't draw City. That increases the likelihood of us drawing Dortmund though.
  9. He may have passed his first test, but passing with 50% is hardly impressive. Your lot were playing at home, but barely troubled our defence all night. You say we looked flat and out of ideas, and to an extent I agree with you, but United didn't look any better.
  10. Suarez is probably the only player in the world I'd be unable to support in a Chelsea shirt. He's pure scum and I don't want him anywhere near our club. Judging by tonight's game I don't think United and Rooney will be parting ways after all, but I'd be happy to be proved wrong. Edit: Actually add Giggs to my list of despicable humans I'd never want to see in a Chelsea shirt. What he did to his brother makes Suarez look like a saint.
  11. I don't think Mourinho anticipated United to play so cautiously, and that was reflected in his team selection. The only reason I can think of for starting Schurrle up front is quick counter-attacks, but United were so tame that we never had the opportunity. They never really committed to any attack, and that prevented us from ever being able to hit them on the break. The main negative to take away from this game was our inability to string a series of passes together, though that improved later in the match. The second half was much better than the first I thought, especially after they replaced Valencia who had Hazard in his pocket. Will be interesting to see how we line up against them at the Bridge. Was really encouraging to see us defend so well after last season where we were at times woeful defensively.
  12. It's hard to say really. I think this was always going to be one of those sagas that gets resolved on deadline day. United will want to hear as many offers as they can before making a decision, and in the meantime it gives them more time to try and convince Rooney to stay.
  13. Ignoring bob's trolling, I don't think it's fair to say Mata is "WAY better than Hazard". I think Hazard brings out the best in Mata. It's true that it's common for a player to improve in their second season, but in Mata's case I think a large part of that is also that he has less creative responsibility with players like Mata and Oscar in the team. In terms of pure talent I think Hazard has more, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he posts better stats this coming season than Mata does. If we absolutely had to let one of them go I think I would rather keep Hazard, but thankfully we're not in that position and can have the best of both worlds.
  14. Not sure how I would feel about this transfer. On the one hand Rooney could be the last piece in the puzzle, but on the other he's so heavily associated with United in my mind that I'd prefer almost anyone else - except Suarez. We've had enough image problems as of late, and as much as I have the "fuck the world" attitude when it comes to supporting Chelsea, it would be nice if neutrals and the media were less... biased against us. Who knows, perhaps Rooney can help in that regard if he steps up his game for the national side after joining us?
