All,

For those who can't get enough Chelsea (like myself!), please try out this free Chelsea FC RSS Feed to SMS Text service I've setup.

The service is hosted by Twitter (www.twitter.com) and I've created 2 feeds, one from the official Chelsea website (www.twitter.com/cfcnews) and one that also includes the RSS feeds from the BBC and Sky (www.twitter.com/cfcrss).

To register you can either send a text message with 'FOLLOW CFCNEWS' or 'FOLLOW CFCRSS' to +447624801423 or you can register via the website. There are also numbers on the website for other Countries.

There are also loads of other Twitter services setup so have a look around. Three others to be aware of are www.twitter.com/premiership which provides all the scores for every Premiership club including Cup games as well, there's a specific site just for Chelsea goals at www.twitter.com/chelsea_scores and finally there's a BBC Football News service at www.twitter.com/bbcfooty

There are also a few goal alert sites setup for Euro 2008. See http://www.twitter.com/euro2008uefa and http://twitter.com/goal2008

The text message service is definitely free to UK O2 and Orange phones but I've heard rumours that phones on the 3 Network have been charged for receiving Texts from Twitter so please check your accounts. I don't have phones on the other Networks so again check.

The only restriction to the service in the UK is you can only get 250 SMS Text Alerts a week. The counts are reset around midnight on Sunday night.

Enjoy and KTBFFH!

JB

We get it, advertisements are annoying!
Talk Chelsea relies on revenue to pay for hosting and upgrades. While we try to keep adverts as unobtrusive as possible, we need to run ad's to make sure we can stay online because over the years costs have become very high.

Could you please allow adverts on this website and help us by switching your ad blocker off.
