chrismada9 1,948
Tottenham have won the race to sign Croatia midfielder Luka Modric for a fee believed to be £15.8m. The Carling Cup winners have agreed terms with the in-demand 22-year-old, fending off interest from Premier League rivals Newcastle. The play-maker will leave Dinamo Zagreb for White Hart Lane this summer subject to passing a medical. Modric must also obtain a work permit but that should be a formality as he is a regular in the Croatia national team. ------------------------------------------------------ http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...pur/7368463.stm ------------------------------------------------------ What a waste of a player, going to a shit club like Sp*rs. Unbelieveable
ChrisGnu 0
Fantastic news for us! Really massive statement of intent by the club, comment was a bit harsh, Berbatov was probably a waste going to us in your opinion, whoops. Anyway, very highly rated, only seen clips of him but he seems decent, looking forward to a interesting pre-season, depending on who else we sign, we could make a better push towards the 'big clubs'
Ollie 4,400
Well he made the best decision i believe. My personal opinion is that a player is wasted being on the subs bench, not playing week in week out.
DavidEU 2,023
Think £15.8 is abit steep, considering he only plays in the Croatian league. Still, looks a prospect.
Dan 1
Top quality signing… Although I agree, definitely £15.8 is a bit steep, even though the prices are inflated.
