I hope we sign a forward or right winger in this transfer Window, I don't think we can put all of our chips on Torres and Lukaku isn't ready according to AVB. So we need to get someone as a forward or get a right winger and move Sturridge centrally. A lot of people forget that Torres's time at Chelsea has been pretty much injury free, but he is a striker with a history of a few months missed due to injuries. I don't think that a player that's hiding from goals can really lead us into the difficult fixtures.

Definitively, there was at least 4 chances tonight that Torres from 3 years ago would have at the very least beaten the defender and had a shot on goal. Our management should take full responsibility they should have done a speed test or something. Anyhow Torres was alright tonight if nothing else he had a role in the second goal but if he doesn't start scoring goals he is a goner in the summer. The thing is that it's very difficult to reinvent himself his speed is gone and he needs to play in a different way than what he was used to in Liverpool. Let's see if he is able to adapt in the following months but even though tonight was promising as far as effort and passing was concerned we won't keep him around if he doesn't start scoring - anything less then 10 goals in the second part of the season and there is no reason to keep him. But no doubt I would not call this a great performance, in fact I don't think anyone can really keep their head high tonight regarding our performance - possibly Lampard because of the amount of negative things being said about him but most players were pretty underwhelming against Wolves and we nearly lost points.

He is not a RW, if we actually had a proper RW we would be playing him centrally as he has been taught since he was 14 y/o. Just because players like Sturridge; Rooney can play on the wings doesn't mean that's their best position. Most of Sturridge's goals have been in a position that a natural goal poacher takes up, close to the goal where he is able to score some easy goals by simply reading the game well.

Well that would be the ideal move if we actually take form into consideration. Sturridge is top 5 strikers in the EPL for the calendar year, Torres is the top 5 flops of all time
