But Man City were getting 30,000 plus when they were down in League one. Why could the massive Chelsea only muster 8923 for a home game in the Premier League? (by the way,as strange as it may seem,i have not invented that statistic,you can look it up)

Never said we had a bigger following than Chelsea. But the above attendance,for a Premier league fixture,is surely not one which would be expected from such a massive club with such a long and distinguished history. Imagine a REALLY big club like Liverpool or ManUtd getting a gate below 10,000 in the Premier league...it just wouldn't happen. toodle-pip.
