  1. Crikey that was a good chance for Newcastle, Alex coming across just did enough to put him off. Lampard has scored. I do love it when that boy proves me wrong, but there's no doubt he's woken up and started playing now.
  2. Arsenal are 2-0 up against City. We really do have a lot more zip going forward now though. If we can keep it going I'll certainly be happy, because already this is a drastic improvement.
  3. It might be negative but its the truth. If you can find anything positive from the first half performance, please do share it with us. I won't deny that I was slagging off Ballack for his recent performances, but he's scored two goals for Germany over the last week and his physicality is something we're missing. And my opinion WILL change if we go 1-0 up because it means we'll have started playing. However the start to this second half has been much more productive from our point of view, we're playing at a greater tempo which is the main thing we were missing in the first half.
  4. Why, because its my opinion? And perhaps you'd like to add something constructive to the topic?
  5. Bloody pathetic performance is you ask me, you wouldn't think we were only four points behind the leaders the way we're playing. Cech has been commanding but has had very little to do. Alex has been very unconvincing and nearly allowed Martins to score. Ashley Cole has been good going forward but defensively he's been as helpful as a chocolate kettle. JT's been his usual imperious self but he and Ivanovic are the only ones who looked bothered with defending. Lampard's been poor, Mikel has been shocking beyond compare and even Essien has been quiet. Anelka's been pretty poor, Malouda's been full of running but not done anything notable and whilst he's had our best chance, Kalou's only other contribution has been offside after offside. Fucking get Quaresma on and why not Ballack while we're at it. The one game we need Ballack's strength in the midfield is the one Hiddink decides to drop him.
  6. John Terry appeared to accidentally kick Cech in the head as the ball ran through to him...
  7. Cech's injured after going in for the ball.
  8. He's been stretchered off, looks pretty bad. Ryan Taylor shoots straight into the wall from a freekick, but it is cleared up to Steve Harper in the Newcastle goal. And now Mikel has gone into the book after a ridiculous tackle, but Gutierrez rolls over a dozen times before jumping straight up. Duff with the freekick, but Cech makes an excellent catch.
  9. West Ham 1-0 Sunderland We've been incredibly poor in my opinon. No-one looks up for it.
  10. Not according to this stream we're not. I'm sorry to tell you that Lampard's been awful as well.
  11. If we win by a couple of goals, we go ahead of Liverpool and then the pressure is really on Liverpool, who have a potentially tricky game at Craven Cottage.
  12. We really need to win this game. Arsenal are fast closing the gap.
  13. Really shit game tbh. Anelka hits the side netting via a deflection.
  14. Fuck me, Malouda's actually playing well. Made some really good runs and has come back to cover. Can't be the same player, surely?
  15. Bench. Alex is having a really poor game, Martins is all over him. Really needs to sharpen up.
  16. Great opportunity for Newcastle. Alex needs to sharpen up, he's made 3 bad mistakes.
  17. Anelka's so bloody deep! He's leaving Kalou isolated. Good save by Harper from Kalou's header.
  18. Very scrappy game. We really need to make sure we don't concede early. The more we frustrate them the more they will have to come forward, and we can hit them on the counter.
  19. Come on Blues! If we dominate the midfield, we will dominate the game. Lampard, Mikel and Essien have a massive responsibility today.
  20. Glad for Blackburn, Spurs scored a penalty that wasn't even on the spot ffs.
  21. I'm not sure if he is entirely fit or not.
