Exactly! He won the World Cup. And how can he perform at his best when he physically and mentally DOES NOT want to play for Liverpool anymore. Plus Carrol has had a good season where as Torres hasn't. That having said Carroll has scored only two goals more and some quite funny ones - for example the scramble against Chelsea. In Torres I trust.

I do agree with you. The fact that they (SSN) don't get improved news every 5 minutes doesn't mean the deals are stalled.

My prediction on all this: Liverpool won't sign anyone, Torres deal will be stalled and won't be completed. Chelsea come out tomorrow stating "our squad can cope without reinforcements" -- Perhaps so. I personally would do damage limitation in EPL this season(give max, won't rule anything out), give our utter most in the Champions League and the FA Cup. I see us doing revamps to the squad during the summer - and perhaps rightly so seeing the sums. On the other hand it is the 31st January evening...

They just mentioned 'improved' bid, so all we know it should be £30mil+ but we can't say that it was surely £35mil mate.

You won't get Sanchez for 25 and I wouldn't be sure Neymar would be available for 25. Torres would be a great signing, true, the money would be good aswell but that's modern football.
