for one he wouldn't get into the Barcelona team, they are like Spain, don't play with a striker, CERTAINLY not a poacher. The only striker who gets in that team is David Villa, and the only reason why is because he could play as a creative centre mid, he's that much of a good player. Real Madrid he wouldn't score the goals Ronaldo does, Ronaldo is a much better player as he can do just about everything. Don't even go there comparing him to Ronaldo and Messi because he is not on their level. Hazard still hasn't proved himself, last i checked it takes at least a full season to prove yourself, not three premier league games, save it till the end. And you said John Obi Mikel is good, how is that working out for you?.

That's Barcelona, the greatest team in the world and possibly ever, not a team who has like one world class player and they raped us 4-1. It's not just a one off game you know, this happens because there's a reason for it. Had Wigan took there chances more it would've been a different story. Luck has it's way, but if it's consistent, then you're doing something right, and luck will not be as consistent as some people think. We can't just give the other team as much space as we do and just try and score goals further up the field. To be honest i hate this fucking 4-2-3-1, never like liked the formation, i would of loved a 4-3-3 with a creative midfielder, 4-2-3-1 can always get exposed, and especially when we have players who can't even play there properly. RDM is going to have to pull something out this season, then spend in January if he is to save his Chelsea career, like Jamie Redknapp said he has huge pressure and the press are going to love it with the Pep Guardiola link, they will constantly bring it up if we have a bad spell. Things wont look so bright if we even start to lose a few games in a row this season. Well too fucking long have we had that shit, we are a rich club with lots of money, i don't want to have an awful season for the 3rd time running.
-
He's a great striker, but any world class striker would've done the exact same thing he did to us. We left him far too much space, infact i think we are very lucky he didn't score more, could've easily of shitted on us. Even a Championship team would've done better, we went in that game like we didn't even have a plan or anything. No one was even trying to take Falcao out of the game, even though he is there most dangerous player. And shot those Messi and Ronaldo comparrisons away please, that's just stupidity. As Ronaldo and Messi are clearly on another level.
-
What a player, he has potential to be world class, played Ishmael Miller through for a one on one, but that fucking statue never scored. Shameful loss for the Boro, Tony Mowbray will get them relegated anyway if they went up, shit manager and clueless.
-
He didn't, i don't know where all this comes from that he had a decent game. I don't think anyone was good, i love how Lampard always gets the blame too, even though it's Mikel not doing anything as well. Did anyone even see Mikel helping out the defence?, did anyone see Mikel closing down Falcao?. It's ridiculous, i'll tell you why they won by a big number, Falcao had WAY too much space, i've never seen anyone give a world class striker that much space in my life. It had to be up to the defenders to close him down and that leaves big dirty gaps. Mikel was WAY!!! to isolated from the defence the whole game, just like he usually is. You do not give Falcao that much space or he will score about 5 fucking goals, lucky for us he missed a couple of sitters. People just look at what Mikel did, there's no denying Mikel is decent on the ball, I've always said that, Mikel is good on the ball but possibly the worst player off the ball. We will struggle in the season because we do not have the right players, our attack is good no doubt, but the amount of teams what will just try to penetrate us, we will have serious issues. We wont be able to win the title or even challenge for it. But hopefully we will get top 4, as Spurs have gotten rid of two amazing players and replaced them with decent signings, and Arsenal don't seem to have that goal threat. But that's only for now, i think Giroud will still turn out good.
-
Are you taking the piss?.
-
Aye, Wigan should've scored at least two goals easily, although Reading had some luck on there goals, they where still causing us way too much damage than they should've. Newcastle we controlled the game very well i thought, Newcastle tried to outplay us rather than letting us come and then counter attacking us and getting us where it hurts. But Atletico just shown everyone what you can do against us if you're clinical, had Wigan put away some of there easy chances it would've been a completely different story. The problem is with some people on here they read far too much into the result rather than the performance, i appreciate optimism, but you must also acknowledge what could've happened and how luck was on our side at times. And David Luiz is starting to piss me off, he's getting forward way too much, why on earth did he try to dribble his way past Cisse too?, fucking stupid he doesn't learn.
-
I'm harsh i know that, but i've been thinking about this for a while now. But also thinking it's just early days the team will get itself together. But this seems like a real lack of quality, and can never be mended unless we actually get replacements. Ivanovic certainly needs some time off and a few weeks on the bench to get him sorted out. I would even start Terry over Cahill and get Luiz to stay back more. Our team is just attack attack attack, i get so worried when the other team is on the counter attack, they always look so dangerous, we are too easy to score against and that will be our problem this season.
-
Same... besides Drogba we haven't had that main man to lead the line and win matches for a while. ESPECIALLY one that will score over 20 goals a season.
-
I honeslty think we will be fighting for 4th place. Atletico just showed what being clinical can just do to us, that's not enough. We have to rely on luck that the other team just can't finish for shit. The team is so bad it's not even funny, midfield and defence is just a joke. Our attack is interesting and we can do damage but we cannot defend it. I would much rather be a team that rarely concedes, rather than a team that scores a lot of goals but also concedes goals every game.
-
Like when Carlo never made at least 5 signings because our players where getting old, we only signed Ramires. Then we had a horrible season with no creativity what so ever or attacking chemistry, so we only buy Mata, an 18 year old striker, Raul Meireles who cannot pass a ball to save his life, a goal keeper we sent on loan, and a young defensive midfielder who rarely played. And now we have just signed attacking players, Moses, Hazard and Oscar, then we bought a right back which we needed. But it's still all the wrong signings as we desperately need a DM most of all and another striker. And once again we make mistakes in the transfer window. Look at City, they've got shit load of players and they had a huge squad.
-
Panic buys in January definitely. Cannot believe for the 3rd season running we have made STUPID MISTAKES once again in the market.
-
GET IN!, PLEASE GET HIM!.
-
Mikel has played like shit, Tiote is one of the best DM's in the league, bet you any money Tiote has a better season than Mikel. Remember this post, because i sure will, and i will come back to you at the end of the season. And if Mikel does better then fair play to you.
-
Mikel still better than Tiote? Hahahahahahahahahaha!.
-
He had a terrible performance, and as a lot of people where saying, how the hell is he still on the field. But no one played well today, Lampard is also to blame. Don't think playing this way is going to get us far, as we cannot scrape out results throughout the whole season when we are giving the team too many chances. It's not going to happen, only the odd game we will get luck like that.
-
Herbert at it again i see, think you're losing your mind mate.
-
Expect more of this to come later on in the season, as the team just isn't good enough. We now have the creativity but we don't have the players to win the ball back or even actually defend against a team on the attack. The defense is constantly left for dead, Arsenal defend much better than us, that is no joke. Wouldn't surprise me if we concede more goals than them this season.
-
I'm scared that despite being in 7 competitions we will end the season with 0 trophies.
-
Not naming him on the bench?, how is that possible?, it was official he was on the bench on pretty much every site such as Sky Sports.
-
Commentators where saying on the Wigan game that we might be giving Mata a rest in september, i really hope this is true. We still have Oscar and that we can still do it without him at the moment.
-
What is it with embarrassing scorelines against us recently?.
-
I'm right here, after another shit Mikel performance and an embrassing 4-0 defeat which could be worse. Oh and by the way i was never banned
-
Man CIty getting Garcia just sums it up. Look at that, they have great players such as Yaya Toure, i even like Gareth Barry as he's a great midfielder for covering and has intelligence. Then they have Rodwell who is also a good all round player and is young. Instead our board just buy a zillion attackers and expect Lampard-Mikel to go out and kick ass. Garcia is much better than Mikel, but we don't even bother, also that player who went to Bayern, Javi Martinez, another one we didn't even bother going after despite the price.
-
It's disgraceful that when one player after one fucking game plays good against us everyone wants him. I remember when we played Stoke two seasons ago, someone made a thread for Kenywn Jones, and the frightening thing is most people agreed about it. Look Falcao is a cracking player, and probably the best finishers in the world, but he costs about 50 million. And he's currently 26 who will be turning 27 halfway through the season. Not a bad age at all but the price is just way too much. Instead of spending huge on a forward like this, go for someone else. To be honest i think we are way to late anyway, we don't have enough time to get a striker like Falcao or Cavani. Remy is a possibility and he might be a great forward for us.
