Zhirkov has been average, his biggest problems are Ashley and Malouda, it's impossible to gain any form with those two, maybe he should try the right, cutting into the box for penalties, I still remember those penalties against... Villa I think. Even with McEachren's form I still rate Kakuta higher, he can go missing the entire game and then create a piece of magic for a goal. That said McEachren should start, his displays deserve it. Our younger players really look good and they should be getting in with our squad being so thin, imagine when the fixture list becomes a bit thicker.

Yes I believe we were. Honestly. We had 15 shots, they had 8. Drogba should have had a penalty and their goal was nothing but luck, Tevez had a one in ten chance of that going in and it did. We also had numerous opportunities cut off by De Jong, Boyata and Toure hacking us down and Marriner saw nothing.

Drogba played badly so there was no inspiration to break that 10-men-in-the-box defence. I was hoping that Malouda or Anelka could do something, but nothing came. We were the better side, the ref was a twat and McEachren honestly looked like Lampard, no signs of nerves at all. And lol at McEachren taking on Adebayor.

Turnbull - Bad, not terrible in performance, but he seems to suck the confidence out of our back line. Ferreira - Good, only one mistake with that pass to Ameobi. Unlucky that the shot wasn't a goal. Terry - I didn't think he was bad and his passing range was good. Bruma - Showed his inexperience, but still okay. van Aanholt - Other than his mistake, was a man of the match contender. Ramires - Average. Zhirkov - I thought he was crap. Benayoun - Average. Sad about the injury. Kakuta - He wasn't incredible, but he didn't deserve to be taken off. Anelka - Cool as ever. Made a two man push for the game with McEachren. Sturridge - I was very disappointed and I thought he should have come off in place of Kakuta. Alex - Good. McEachren - A STAR IS BORN! Kalou - Gutted by his injury and I have a feeling we would have won without his injury.

Good effort at a come back, but I gotta say I feel like we would have won with Cech instead of Turnbull.

Rooney is a beast, that's why the press proclaimed him to be the savior. He carries Utd and when he was off, they were off. Anyway for overrated, half the England team. And I'll be crucified by all the tippy, tappy possession football lovers, but Xavi has never done it for me. I rate a player like Alonso far higher, he was the reason Gerrard looked so good in 08/09. A true unsung hero.
