The problem was that he hadn't a man that could dribble, that could make a decisive dribbling...we hadn't a man like that, the midfilders were raiders (I think this is the word, in Italian is "incursori",men that run without the ball in the space)and Tevez didn't make many dribbling....so we musted score with the long passes and the movements of Vidal, Pogba and Marchisio..for this reason Conte wanted Cuadrado, that can dribble the opponent and create numerical superiority...

Season 2012-2013
In the first season in Juventus, Conte noticed 2 problems: left wing and strikers. So, the club bought Asamoah, Isla and Giovinco. There were also other operations, such Pogba, Bentner,….
The whole season we played with the 3-5-2, with this formation
Buffon
Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini
Lichtsteiner-Marchisio-Pirlo-Vidal-Asamoah
Giovinco-Vucinic
We won easily the Serie A and we went to the quarter-finals of Champions League.
If I should suggest you a match to see, I will say another time Juventus-Parma, the first of the season. In that match, the first goal was scored by Lichtsteiner, with a classical play of the Conte’s team: ball to the left, then cross and move of the other winger that scores.
In CL, very important were obviously the matches against Chelsea, but the most significant was against Bayern at the Allianz Arena…I think it was the first time Conte understood that there was teams that could win easily with us (fortunately today is not so)…
So, after the win of the Serie A, he tried to change the team, like against Torino when we played with 3-5-1-1 with Marchisio behind Vucinic, but it was not a good idea.
Conte understood two things: that team could play well only with 3-5-2 and needed new strikers.
That season was the first of Pogba in our team and at the beginning he hadn’t many chance, but Conte administrated him very well.
Tomorrow I will tell you the last Conte’s season in Juventus (2013-2014)

Chelsea is very different from Conte's Juventus
1 There is no Bonucci (a defenseman that can make long pass like a top midfilder)
2 There is no Pirlo (one of the best midfilder in history)
I think that he will change his way to play.
I will be very surprised if he doesn't buy a defenseman....and in Juventus he always wanted defensmen that can speak italian, so he can easily speak with them...I think he will try to buy a defenseman that plays (or played) in Serie A

I can try to answer
1 Conte loves Cuadrado...he said it many times when he was in Juventus... I don't think he changes his opinion...but i don't know who will play...
3 maybe I can make a mistake, but I think that he will not play with 3 defensemen...in Juventus there was Bonucci, you don't have a player like him....and I can nor find a similar defenseman...
2 In Juventus Conte was not a manager...the key figures are Marotta, Paratici and Nedved...I don't know what power will Conte have in Chelsea...but I know one thing (like all the italians): the first thing to do is to fix the defence...

Hello,
I am a Juventus italian fan and maybe I can help you to understand which kind of coach Conte is...(sorry for my english, I hope you will understand)
When he arrived in Juventus, he found a tragic situation...the previous season the team, with Del Neri, arrived at the 7th place and all the fans were demoralised.
However, the 2011 summer was spectacular: we bought Pirlo, Vidal, Vucinic and Lichtsteiner and we inaugurated the new stadium.
When he arrived, he said that the best tactic for him was the 4-2-4, the most difficult to teach and to do, he said. So, the first official match against Parma we played so:
Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Barzagli, Chiellini, De Ceglie; Marchisio, Pirlo; Pepe, Del Piero, Matri, Giaccherini
It was probably the best match I ever seen of Conte's team (ok, the opponents weren't extraordinary) and I think that that match can help you to understand some important things: the key role of the wings, the importance of the movements without the ball (see the Marchisio's goal) and the importance of the defense.
We played in such way also the next games, then he understood that he had a fabulous midfielder: Arturo Vidal. So he changed the tactic and we played with the 4-3-3, with Marchisio, Pirlo, Vidal; Pepe, Matri, Vucinic. You can see this tactic in the match against Milan at Juventus Stadium (2-0, Marchisio, Marchisio), with some differences (not Matri, but Vucinic as center-forward and Krasic as winger). Another great game. It was a 4-3-3, but when we hadn't the ball, it turned into 4-5-1, because for Conte it is very important the sacrifice of the wingers when the team hasn't the ball.
Then, there was the match that changed everything: Napoli-Juventus (3-3), the first time that Juve played with the 3-5-2 (that was because also Napoli played so) and with the defence with Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini. That was not a great match, but was the beginning of the current Juventus.
We played so the rest of the season and we win the title.
This was the 2011-2012 season, maybe the best title in Juventus' history (because we didn't expect it).
I tried to explain you the principles of Conte's style, but the most important is: never give up.
I hope that you will understand what I write, this evening I will tell you the season 2012-2013.

Conte's system includes three central midfielders, one of which is a Regista, e.g. Pirlo at Juventus who was playing deeper than Pogba and Vidal.
Jorginho is a Regista and now Conte at the NT has De Rossi and Thiago Motta in that position. Jorginho would have been the 3rd choice there because in the other two central midfield positions Conte wants something different to what Jorginho has to offer. He wants constant movement, runs in behind, energy and Jorginho does not possess those characteristics, he is more of a deep lying playmaker. This is why Conte kept Florenzi, Ghiaccherini, Parolo and Sturaro for those two places.

Season 2013 2014 (the last in Juventus)
To improve our results in CL, the club bought 2 top strikers: Carlitos Tevez and Fernando LLorente. Furthermore, arrived also Angelo Ogbonna (he played with us 2 season).
The tactic was always the same 3-5-2
Buffon
Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini
Lichtsteiner- Pogba -Pirlo- Vidal -Asamoah (but Marchisio played many times)
Tevez-LLorente (at the beginning of the season played Vucinic with Tevez)
We were easily champions again, because the opponents couldn’t stop our new strikers: 102 points (record). We played some matches very well (like against Lazio in Juventus Stadium 4-1 (you should see the highlights, what a nice movements without the ball)), but that was not our best year: we were too strong, so we often we played very slowly, thus many matches were very boring (like Livorno-Juventus 0-2).
But the big delusion came from Europe…we went out against Galatasaray in the Group Stage of CL. In that situation, Conte received many critics: we played 4 horrible matches against Galatasaray and Copenaghen, because we were very slow to move the ball and very predictable…4 indecent matches…fortunately we received 2 penalties against Copenaghen in Torino, otherwise we will probably not defeat them.
But we played also 2 great matches against Real Madrid (2-1 in Madrid, 2-2 in Torino), with a different tactic: 4-3-3
Buffon
Caseres-Barzagli-Chiellini (in Torino Bonucci)-Ogbonna (in Torino Asamoah)
Vidal -Pirlo- Pogba
Marchisio -LLorente- Tevez
We deserved the victory in either the matches, but in Madrid Chiellini was expelled and in Torino we were very unluky….
Then, there was the Europa League…a tragedy…we knew that we were the best in that competition and we thought that we could win (the final was in Torino)…but we were defeated by Benfica…in that EL, we played 8 matches (2 Trabzonspor, 2 Fiorentina, 2 Lione and 2 Benfica), but only 1 good match (the second against Trabzonspor). If you want to see a terrible match, you should see the first against Lione (the most horrible Juventus’match I have ever seen).
That was the end of Conte’s adventure in Juventus…a fantastic Scudetto, but the delusion of Europe that was huge…
I hope that now you know Conte a little better….

Hello,
I am a Juventus italian fan and maybe I can help you to understand which kind of coach Conte is...(sorry for my english, I hope you will understand)
Every correction in my english is welcomed
