Guus is in Korea right now, so why arent our reps over there tying this up. I think he's there for a charity match. Phil McNulty, (i think hes a jounro) said he;s been told Hughes may yet be in line for a role at Chelsea. Cant see it myself

Our board and owner are idiots, but one thing Roman is not = stupid. So chill down he knows what he want

dont you worry about that, or maybe we should be?, there is lots of time for deals.

Aston Villa being criticised for taking 6 weeks and no new manager ... according to previous threads we (Roman ) decided as long ago as March or

April to replace Carlo ... almost 4 months and now less than 4 weeks to first pre season game. :fainthv9:

Just can't believe that Guus is our only solution and that we need to wait without manager , while other clubs are constantly looking for their new players.

No manager no new players !

At this stage, Hiddink is the only quality option for a new manager. And no way is another yache, you can not do transfers when no manager.

I understand...weeks without football or any substantial football news can make all of us feel that way. The season ended nearly a month ago and we're still waiting for a manager. New players shouldn't even be in the equation yet, but August 31 always looms large.

My advice: relax, go to a couple of general chat topics, and enjoy the beverage of your choice. :tiphat:

Hiddink.

He said: "After the Belgium-Turkey game I went to South Korea. I did not go on holiday.

"I went to one of my projects in the country where I worked during the World Cup of 2002. I do a lot of work for charity there.

"I have enough on my plate trying to get Turkey to the Euro finals."

"When I got back to Europe I was confronted with all sorts of stories, saying I had told Chelsea to sign Sneijder. I am not making a fuss about any of the other stories, but I have to make it clear there has been no contact between the club and me in the last couple of weeks.

"I am busy creating lots of pitches, in particular for handicapped people.

“I have enough on my plate trying to get Turkey to the Euro finals.’’
