EFL Cup second leg semi final they will have most likely on 4th or 5th so yeah much better situation. So Tottenham it is, not bad

Terrific footballer. Big, strong, fast and hard to get the ball off him. He'd be great as another striker option or on the left. Either/or works fine. Fulham Broadway 17,810
Man City are a bit like we were when in freefall - conversely opponents sense the vulnerability that has replaced the invincibility, Fernando

Thor 2,832
Yeah would be nice to play them now. If they get reinforcements in, and time to work out these issues, they'll be back to being at least a top 3 level team.
LAM09 7,100
City's dire form is showing signs of why Pep has never stayed at a club for a prolonged period. It's surely getting to a point where Pep's future is up for debate despite what he has won. Even during Mou's darkest days here, we never went through form as bad as this. I know this will be shot down by people, but to me it has shown what has always been the case in his career - if the decks aren't completely stacked in his favour, he struggles. He is a great manager, clearly. His style of play limits the odds of poor results, and propensity for bad games. LAM09

Aside from his first season at City, he's generally had everything his own way and doesn't know what to do when Plan A fails. There's no taking that away from him. He's broken records everywhere he's been, so this period will probably be forgotten soon, whether he remains at City or takes an INT job. On a side note, some of his squad choices still baffle me. Going into a season with Haaland as your sole CF is a notable one (80 minutes gone in today's game, and he hasn't had a touch in Villa's box). Going into a season with Haaland as your sole CF is a notable one (80 minutes gone in today's game, and he hasn't had a touch in Villa's box). He’s had a generationally good group of players all in their primes simultaneously. Now almost that entire core has aged poorly and the lack of squad refreshing is biting them badly. And tbh, I don’t think this will be a smooth, super quick fix by just spending a bunch of money. Getting players who are just as good as Walker, KDB, Gündogan, Mahrez, etc will be extremely difficult. They need 2 new starting fullbacks, 2 new starting wingers, at least 2 new midfielders, AND another forward. They need MAJOR surgery. Will Pep want to stick around for that? Never was a fan of Peppy but he stayed 4 years in Barcelona, 3 years in Bayern and 9 seasons at City. In today's football even 3 years can be considered remarkably long. I mean just look at Chelsea last 20 years. Edited December 21, 2024 by NikkiCFC Fernando
